-The NJPW G1 Opening Night event will be held on Saturday in Dallas, Texas at American Airlines Center. The show features the first five matches of the G1 Climax Tournament including Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi. Join me for live coverage as the show airs on AXS TV at 5CT/6ET. -Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary will be held on Sunday in Dallas, Texas at Gilley’s Dallas. The card is headlined by Brian Cage vs. Michael Elgin for the Impact World Championship. -WWE is in Washington, D.C. at Capital One Arena on Saturday with the following advertised matches: Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin in a street fight for the WWE Universal Championship, Ricochet vs. AJ Styles vs. Cesaro in a Triple Threat for the U.S. Championship, Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Lacey Evans for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

-WWE is in Utica, New York at Adirondack Bank Center on Saturday with the following advertised matches: Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship, Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss in a Triple Threat for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, Finn Balor vs. Andrade for the Intercontinental Championship.

-WWE is in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday with the following advertised matches: Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin in a street fight for the WWE Universal Championship, Becky Lynch vs. Lacey Evans for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

-Impact Wrestling’s “Bash at the Brewery” will be held tonight in San Antonio, Texas at Freetail Brewery.

-Impact works with Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion for Deep Impact on Saturday in Texas City, Texas at Booker T’s gym.

-The next ROH events will be at television taping on July 20 in New York, New York at Hammerstein Ballroom. ROH will be in Lowell, Massachusetts at Lowell Memorial Auditorium on July 21 with the beginning of the Top Prospect Tournament.

-The next Evolve events will be Evolve 131 on July 13 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at 2300 Arena with the 10th Anniversary event that will be broadcast on WWE Network. Evolve 132 on July 14 in Melrose, Massachusetts on Melrose Memorial Hall.

Birthdays and Notables

-Hillbilly Jim (James Morris) is 67 and is just about done with his WWE Hall of Fame speech.

-Jerry Sags (Jerome Saganowich) of the Nasty Boys is 55.

-Jamie Dundee (James Cruikshanks) is 48.

-NXT Champion Adam Cole (Austin Jenkins) is 30.
