Former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro has died. She was 39 years old. WWE confirmed the news in a statement that was released via WWE.com.

Massaro had won the 2005 WWE Diva Search, as well as wrestled for the WWE Women’s Championship against Melina at WrestleMania 23. Her last Professional Wrestling appearance was in 2017 in Zero1 Professional Wrestling USA along with fellow former WWE Superstar Jillian Hall. Her social media indicated she had intended to return to the ring as recently as March of 2019.

My Thoughts: Rest in peace Ashley, you left us far too young. My condolences to her friends, family, and loved ones.
