Vince McMahon is advertised for Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown television show. The official WWE.com preview touts that Vince will announce “the biggest acquisition in Smackdown Live history.”

Powell’s POV: The regular names that stand out as realistic candidates for this level of hype are Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and Ronda Rousey. Vince could also attempt to make a star via his character’s endorsement. With that in mind, my dark horse pick is Drew McIntyre, as they could do a callback to Vince once dubbing him The Chosen One. Join Jake Barnett for his weekly live review of Smackdown as the show airs at 7CT/8ET, and I will be by afterward with my members’ exclusive audio review.

  1. My guess would be Rhonda since it has been widely speculated that FoxSports wanted her on Smackdown as a condition of them signing the TV deal.

  2. I say it’s Brock Lesnar. Remember the ads for Smackdown that have Lesnar in them. That doesn’t always mean anything, but I think Fox may have some influence. Who knows?

Jason, do you know if these reports that Brock blew up backstage at Wrestlemania are true? It seems this happens every so often and I have a feeling that it’s Paul, Brock and Vince “working” everyone and having a laugh.

By the way, you and your staff did an excellent job on ‘Mania and all of the other events that week.

  3. Wasn’t this MVP? (lol)

  4. LOL. Drew McIntyre would be one hell of a let down from that hype.
