ROH announces a pair of title matches for the War of the Worlds tour with NJPW

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Ring of Honor has announced Matt Taven vs. PCO for the ROH Championship at the May 9 event in Toronto, Ontario. The show will be part of the War of the Worlds tour with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

ROH also announced Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa vs. Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham for the ROH Tag Titles for May 8 in Buffalo, New York on the first night of the War of the Worlds tour.

Powell’s POV: ROH play-by-play voice Ian Riccaboni announced the matches in a video that can be viewed below. PCO pinned Taven in the six-man tag title match that headlined last night’s show in Columbus, Ohio (see my full review here), and Lethal and Gresham earned the No. 1 contender status last night as well. The War of the Worlds tour also includes stops on May 11 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and May 12 in Chicago, Illinois.
