Former WWE personality Eric Angle was charged with simple assault following an incident at the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling championships. Angle picked up a young wrestler by the neck and then dropped him. Angle stated that he was trying to keep the child from messing up. “I should have just walked away and let him get thrown out,” Angle told WTAE.com. “Instead, I’m the one who embarrassed myself even more.”

Powell’s POV: Eric is the the brother of WWE legend Kurt Angle. WTAE also included footage of the incident. It’s unclear what prompted Eric to grab the boy, but his reaction to it was terrible and he was rightfully charged with a crime. Eric worked for WWE and its then developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling from 2000 to 2003.
