1. Taiji Ishimori, Bad Luck Fale, and Hikuleo beat Juice Robinson, Yuya Uemura, and Tomoaki Honma.

2. Togi Makabe, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, and Satoshi Kojima defeated Yuji Nagata, Manabu Nakanishi, and Toa Henare.

3. Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, and Bushi beat Michael Elgin, Shota Umino, and Ren Narita.

4. Evil and Sanada defeated Minoru Suzuki and Davey Boy Smith Jr.

5. Kota Ibushi, Will Ospreay, and Hirooki Goto beat Zack Sabre Jr., Lance Archer, and Taka Michinoku.

6. Mikey Nicholls, Colt Cabana, and Ryusuke Taguchi beat Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Toru Yano.

7. Yoshi-Hashi defeated Chase Owens in a New Japan Cup tournament second round match.

8. Tomohiro Ishii defeated Taichi in a New Japan Cup tournament second round match.

Powell’s POV: The tournament continues on Thursday in Nara with the following second round matches: Kazuchika Okada vs. Mikey Nicholls, Will Ospreay vs. Lance Archer. The winner of the tournament will challenge Jay White for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship on April 6 at the G1 Supercard in New York at Madison Square Garden.
