-WWE is in Uniondale, New York at Nassau Coliseum tonight with the following advertised lineup: Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles in a cage match for the WWE Championship, John Cena appears on Miz TV, Asuka vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton.

-WWE is in Columbus, Ohio at Nationwide Arena tonight with the following advertised lineup: Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins in a cage match for the Intercontinental Championship, Finn Balor vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre, and Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship.

-The Impact Wrestling television show is once again in “best of” mode for the holidays. Next week’s show will be first-run material heading into the January 6 Homecoming pay-per-view. Impact airs on Pop TV at 9CT/10ET. John Moore’s reviews and my Impact Wrestling Hit List and members’ exclusive audio review will return once the company begins airing first-run programming again on January 3.

-Monday’s WWE Raw received a majority vote of B as the letter grade with 26 percent of the vote. C and D each received 24 percent of the vote. I gave the show a C- grade overall, though it was a strong B+ if we’re grading on the WWE holiday show curve.

-Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown received a majority vote of B as the letter grade with 55 percent of the vote. I gave the show a C grade overall. Again, it was a an A- if we’re grading on the WWE holiday show curve.

Birthdays and Notables

-Bill Eadie is 71. He worked as Demolition Ax and Masked Superstar.

-Bart Gunn (Michael Polchlopek) is 55.

-Bill Goldberg is 53.

-Cesaro (Claudio Castagnoli) is 38.

-Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad) is 28.

-The late Chyna (Joanie Lauer) was born on December 27, 1969. She died at age 46 of an overdose of alcohol and prescription drugs on April 20, 2016.

-The late Jerry Tuite was born on December 27, 1966. Tuite, who worked as The Wall and Malice, died of a heart attack at age 36 on December 6, 2003.
