Cody provided an update on his knee injury after sitting out of Sunday’s Ring of Honor event in Toronto. “GOOD news is my doctor is fairly confident that my mcl/pcl/acl are structurally sound,” Cody wrote on social media. “BAD news is the meniscus is fairly damaged, gonna’ require a scope. No dates will be adjusted at the moment, and I’ll definitely still compete in the final battle main event & at WK.”

Powell’s POV: Obviously, it’s good news that the injury appears to be minor enough that he won’t miss much time. Cody is expected to face Jay Lethal for the ROH Championship at Final Battle. Cody’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 match has yet to be announced. It’s possible that these shows will be his last or among his last with those companies due to his free agent status in early 2019.
