Thursday’s Impact Wrestling television drew 105,000 total viewers on Pop TV, according to Showbuzzdaily.com. The number was up from the 98,000 viewers the show accumulated the previous week.

Powell’s POV: Impact ran against an NFL game involving a pair of teams that had only won a game going in, and it turned out to be a lopsided score. That was still only enough for Impact to generate 7,000 more viewers than last week. It’s not looking good, folks. Last year, Impact Wrestling produced 275,000 viewers for the November 2 edition.

To get that number – an increase from last week – in a timeslot no longer in primetime. It is very good.

According to the author of showbuzzdaily, he said that folks cannot expect them to get 300K or even 200K in this new timeslot ever. It’s not feasible statistically for any show in the late night hours of 10 – 12 am.

So, Jason, I think you might be overstating how poor these numbers are when it is probably the most they can get in this time slot.

    • Interpret how you like, but the fact that they were moved to the later time slot speaks volumes. Look, I hope they thrive, but I’ve been hearing these excuses and rationalizations for Impact’s declining numbers for years. At some point, even the Impact diehards have to acknowledge there’s a real problem here.
