The following matches and events are advertised for tonight’s WWE Smackdown television show.
-Paige reveals who will challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
-Carmella vs. Becky Lynch (if Lynch wins she earns a Smackdown Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam).
-New Day vs. Sanity in a Smackdown Tag Title No. 1 contender match.
Powell’s POV: WWE is also playing up the question of why Randy Orton attacked Jeff Hardy. With tonight’s tournament match announced, that means The Usos will face Sheamus and Cesaro in the other first-round match next week. The winners of the first-round matches will meet in the finals in two weeks with the winning team challenging Bludgeon Brothers at SummerSlam.
