New Japan Pro Wrestling has set the following A and B blocks for the G1 Tournament that will be held July 14 through August 12.

A Block: Michael Elgin, Evil, Bad Luck Fale, Togi Makabe, Kazuchika Okada, Hangman Page, Minoru Suzuki, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jay White, and Yoshi-Hashi.

B Block: Hirooki Goto, Kota Ibushi, Tomohiro Ishii, Tetsuya Naito, Kenny Omega, Juice Robinson, Zack Sabre Jr., Sanada, Tama Tonga, and Toru Yano.

Powell’s POV: It’s a round robin style tournament, meaning the wrestlers will face everyone in their respective block. For the A Block, the notable matches include Okada vs. Tanahashi, and Suzuki facing both men. The B Block should be outstanding with just Omega matches alone given that the new IGWP Heavyweight Champion will be facing Ibushi, Naito, Sabre Jr., and Sanada, not to mention the various matches with those wrestlers all facing one another. Each of the G1 events will be broadcast in English on the New Japan World streaming service.
