-WWE is finalizing plans for new tag team title belts for their cruiserweight division, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com

-Former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio was in Stamford, Connecticut last week to be interviewed for a Rey Mysterio documentary. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reports that Del Rio met with Vince McMahon while he was at WWE Headquarters.

Powell’s POV: Here’s hoping the company intends to add wrestlers to the cruiserweight roster if they are going to create a tag team division. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen from the 205 Live since the cruiserweight tournament started, but the division previously featured only a dozen or so regulars. Meanwhile, McMahon has always liked Del Rio, who is still under contract with Impact Wrestling and wrestling as Alberto El Patron. It was also announced today that El Patron will be returning to the AAA promotion and is booked for Triplemania, so only time will tell whether he ends up returning to WWE.

  1. Del Rio is garbage. He should have been fired from Impact the moment he said he wanted to be in WWE. There is nothing useful about him. He’s not over. He’s constant trouble and he’s 40. What is there is to see in him?
