WWE Smackdown Live viewership opposite the State of the Union address

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live averaged 2.509 million viewers for USA Network, according to Showbuzzdaily.com. The number was down slightly from the 2.580 million count from last Tuesday’s edition.

Powell’s POV: Smackdown essentially maintained its number from last week despite facing strong competition from the State of the Union address that aired on all of the major networks and the cable news networks on Tuesday night. The January 31, 2017 edition of Smackdown delivered 2.817 million viewers for the first edition after the Royal Rumble.
