WWE Smackdown Live rating: Final numbers for the December 5 edition

Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live scored a 1.76 rating, down from the 1.86 rating the show drew last week. As previously noted, the show averaged 2.493 million viewers, down from last week’s 2.662 million viewers.

Powell’s POV: The number is up slightly from last year at this time when the December 6, 2016 edition of Smackdown delivered 2.479 million viewers. Still, the number dropping from last week and what they have been drawing recently is disappointing. As I mentioned yesterday, it probably doesn’t help matters that the teaser ad on Raw seems to promote Shane McMahon’s reaction to (fill in the blank) more often than not.
