-Dot Net Members are listening to the new Dot Net Weekly audio show with Blake Reilly of the TheBlakeAndSalShow.com later today. Blake and I previewed the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view and discussed the Smackdown brand in great details. Join us on the ad-free version of the site and access and our entire audio history by signing up for membership today via the Dot Net Members’ Signup Page.

-Impact Wrestling features James Storm and Eli Drake vs. El Hijo Del Fantasma and El Texano Jr. Impact airs on Pop TV at 7CT/8ET. John Moore’s review will be available on Friday morning. My Impact Wrestling Hit List will be available on Friday if I have satellite access (another part of the roofing fun, ugh).

-We are looking for correspondents for the the NXT live events listed below. If you are going to one of these events or another upcoming show and want to help by sending in a report, contact me at dotnetjason@gmail.com

-NXT is in Dade City, Florida at Dade City Armory tonight with the local crew.

-NXT is in Coral Gables, Florida at Fieldhouse at Watsco Center on Friday with the local crew.

-NXT is in Fort Pierce, Florida at Havert L. Fenn Center on Saturday with the local crew. This is a makeup show for an event that was postponed due to the hurricane.

-Monday’s Raw received a majority vote for C as the letter grade with 36 percent of the vote. D finished second with 23 percent of the vote. I gave the show a D this week, though mostly for the bad taste that the boring third hour left in my mouth.

-Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live received a majority C as the letter grade with 30 percent of the vote. 27 percent of the voters gave the show a D. I’m in line with the C voters as I felt it was a solid go-home edition.

Birthdays and Notables

-Terri Runnels is 51.

-DJZ (Michael Paris) is 31.

-Brian Pillman died on October 5, 1997. He suffered a heart attack and died in a Bloomington, Minnesota hotel at age 35. I attended his final match held at the St. Paul Civic Center the night before.

The new edition of the Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast with Jason Powell features guest Eli Drake talking about signing with the NWA, his departure from Impact Wrestling, rejecting an intergender match with Tessa Blanchard, his WWE developmental run, and much more...
