WWE Smackdown Preview: New U.S. Champion A.J. Styles, Jinder Mahal in a non-title match, previously advertised match not mentioned in the official preview

The following matches and events are advertised for tonight’s WWE Smackdown Live television show.

-AJ Styles makes his first TV appearance since winning the U.S. Championship.

-Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin.

-WWE Champion Jinder Mahal vs. Tye Dillinger in a non-title match.

-Xavier Woods vs. Jey Uso.

-A Breezango segment.

Powell’s POV: Oddly enough, the official WWE.com preview does not mention the Nakamura vs. Corbin match. I listed it above because it was advertised repeatedly on Raw. The preview did note that Dillinger is getting the non-title match because he was so impressive in the battle royal, which is a bit of a reach considering that Styles and Sami Zayn lasted longer than he did. Join Jake Barnett for live coverage as the show airs on USA Network at 7CT/8ET.
