Jim Ross on Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy, WWE Fastlane, his own one-man show on iPPV

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights. To order J.R.’s BBQ products, visit WWEShop.com.

Ross on Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy appearing for ROH: “Loved the surprise booking that ROH and the Hardy’s utilized over the weekend with Matt and Jeff winning the ROH Tag Team Titles. I’d speculate that the Hardy’s will still eventually wind up in WWE after WM in Orlando. That ‘marriage’ just makes too much sense, IMO, at this stage of the careers of Matt and Jeff plus WWE could utilize the Hardy’s to help add some much needed sizzle to their tag team scene. If the Hardy’s don’t go to WWE, they will not be missing many paydays as this duo is in demand and their new, TV personas are a hit globally. In any event you can bet that the eventual destination for Matt and Jeff will continue to get heavy social media coverage.”

Powell’s POV: I also believe the Hardys are WWE bound if everything goes well from a medical testing standpoint. The only thing I could see standing in the way is scheduling in terms of whether the brothers want to take on a full-time schedule. Matt has said in the past that he wasn’t interested in that, but hopefully WWE will be accommodating from that standpoint. The Hardys do very well independently and can make their own schedules, but one last lucrative WWE run has to hold some appeal. As for ROH, it’s a nice coup to get the Hardys for as long as it lasts.

Ross on WWE Fastlane: “A solid, show that had its moments but at the end of the day it felt somewhat like a better than average Monday Night Raw presentation which isn’t an indictment by the say. Some of the finishes were a bit perplexing but they can all be better judged as these storylines move forward.”

Powell’s POV: I’m on the same page about the finishes and wrote something similar earlier today . The pay-per-view was underwhelming, as I addressed in my WWE Raw Hit List and in last night’s live review, which can be found on our main page.

Ross on his own one-man show on iPPV: “This Wednesday at 5 pm ET/2 pm PT/10 pm U.K. time our RINGSIDE with Jim Ross and Friends PPV will premiere on the FITE TV App for only $5.99. This broadcast is the best of our three, Dallas House of Blues shows from last year’s Texas WrestleMania. You will enjoy this RINGSIDE Show PPV as it’s a fun, one hour presentation. Our PPV will be on the FITE App for 30 days. Please enjoy our show and tell a friend or two about it.”

Powell’s POV: It’s a great chance to catch the one-man show if you haven’t had a chance to see it in person. For that matter, Ross has stated that every show is different due to the Q&A portion, so it seems worth checking out even if you did catch it in person once.
