Linda McMahon selected by Donald Trump to head Small Business Administration

lindamcmahon1U.S. President-elect Donald Trump plans to nominate Linda McMahon to head the Small Business Administration, according to Reuters.com. “Linda has a tremendous background and is widely recognized as one of the country’s top female executives advising businesses around the globe,” Trump said in the announcement that was viewed by Reuters. Meanwhile, McMahon is quoted as saying, “Our small businesses are the largest source of job creation in our country.” Read more at Reuters.com.

Powell’s POV: The Trump and McMahon family have had a longtime friendship, and Linda had made two failed bids for the U.S. Senate along with being a major donor to the Republican party. Although she hosted a fundraiser for Chris Christie’s presidential bid, she eventually spoke out in favor of Trump prior to the election.
