wrestlingringLongtime pro wrestler George Gray, who wrestled as One Man Gang and Akeem, has launched a Go Fund Me page due to a horrific flood. “Thankfully though our son was house sitting while I was in Georgia doing a meet n greet signing & was able to save all 8 cats, 2 dogs & a lizard,” Gray writes. “However almost everything my wife & I ever owned was ruined. All the beds, couches, appliances, electronics, clothes, basically everything in the entire house was destroyed while submerged for 3 days.

“A lifetime of wrestling memorabilia, wrestling videos & family albums were among the most irreplaceable. Like most in our area FEMA had declared our neighborhood a no flood zone and like most we didn’t have flood insurance. Our home insurance said they cover zero zip nada of the damages. Any help you can give to get us back on our feet & our home livable again would be most appreciated. Thanks for your support.” Contribute to the fund via Gofundme.com/2lbn0us.

Powell’s POV: Gray included a photo of the wreckage of his possessions that are now sitting on his front lawn. It’s a sad story and it would be great if fans who can afford to make a contribution rally behind him and his family by helping him raise $50,000. Even a simple acknowledgement of his Go Fund Me page via social media would be helpful. A big thanks to Dave Wills for bringing this to my attention.

  1. Know he is a great guy and all, but he should have gotten flood insurance, especially after Katrina, if living in LA. Know he is a prison guard now, but he still could have afforded to buy it.
