WWE has released the following names of wrestlers who will serve as alternates for the Cruiserweight Classic tournament.
-Aaron Solow
-Jesus Yurnet (a/k/a Hammett)
-Jessy Sorensen
-Vandal Ortagun (a/k/a Jonny Vandal)
-Kai Katana
Powell’s POV: The alternates would replace any wrestler who can’t continue in the tournament for any reason. You can check out the bios on each alternate at WWE.com. Sorensen is the name that jumped out at me. He suffered a major neck injury, which is acknowledged in his bio, while working for TNA. The Cruiserweight Classic will begin airing on WWE Network on Wednesday at 8 CT/9 ET. Join Zack Zimmerman for live coverage immediately following NXT.
