WWE Smackdown TV Taping
Biloxi, Mississippi
Report by Dot Net reader Philip “Pip” Knight

The show opened up with the Highlight Reel with Dean Ambrose as Jericho’s guest. All the MITB participants ended up coming down to the ring to set up a brawl.

1. Kofi Kingston beat Aiden English, Luke Gallows, and Big Cass in a four-way. New Day interrupted Enzo and Cass’s entrance (I was ticked!). Kofi hit English with Trouble In Paradise for the win.

2. Baron Corbin beat Zack Ryder.

Rusev vs. Kalisto never got started. Rusev attacked Kalisto and put him in the Accolade. Sin Cara came down for the save but ended up in the same situation. Titus came down and put the hurt on Rusev.

3. AJ Styles beat Xavier Woods. Heck of a match. Woods really shined but AJ won with the Calf Crusher.

4. WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte defeated Natalya.

5. Dean Ambrose Cesaro, and Sami Zayn defeated Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, and Kevin Owens. A good match that saw Cesaro give uppercuts to everyone, including his own teammates, and Owens super kicking his teammates. Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Owens for the win.

Dark Segment

The Club came out and introduced theirselves to Ambrose and attacked him. Roman Reigns came out to make the save, and actually got a pop! Reigns cleaned house, but Seth Rollins came down and they brawled. Ambrose hit Rollins with Dirty Deeds, and Reigns hit Gallows with a spear to send the crown home happy.

  1. Reigns got a pop. Great, that’ll continue to plant ideas in the heads of the brass that he’s “over” despite getting booed out of the building everything he shows his face.

I gather that fans where happy he was coming to save an actual fan favourite and not cheering because they were happy to see *him*. Or maybe they figured it was damn time since this is the last show before the PPV and he’s the champ. He shouldn’t be hiding.

  2. *everytime he shows his face.
