5/17 WWE Smackdown TV taping spoilers: Coverage of the taping for this week’s television show (spoilers)

Logo_SD_dn_600Dot Net reader Josh Jarvis is at the WWE Smackdown taping in Greenville, South Carolina at Bon Secours Wellness Arena and is sending the following updates.

1. Kevin Owens beat Cesaro. Sami Zayn and The Miz were guest color commentators for match. Owens got the win via roll up pinfall after both Miz and Zayn interfered.

2. Dana Brooke beat Paige. Becky Lynch sat in at the announcers table. Dana won via pinfall.

3. Dolph Ziggler beat Sheamus. Ziggler won by pinfall. Baron Corbin came out after the match and cut a promo to set up his match with Ziggler at Extreme Rules.

Chris Jericho cut a promo and had the Asylum cage lowered. Dean Ambrose, who was disguised as a worker lowering the cage, snuck up behind Jericho and attacked him. Ambrose climbed the cage and got a kindo stick. Ambrose got a few kendo stick shots in before Jericho ran out of the cage door.

4. New Day and Big Cass beat The Dudley Boyz and The Vaudevillains in an eight-man tag match. Big Cass pinned Bubba Ray to give his team the win.

AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson came to ring. Enter the Usos and Roman Reigns. All six men had a standoff in the ring before the singles match.

5. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns (w/The Usos) fought Luke Gallows (w/AJ Styles, Karl Anderson) to an apparent DQ. All heck breaks loose and the match ended in a disqualification. The taping concluded with Reigns and Styles alone in the ring with chairs.
