Logo_NXT_dn_crop600Bayley was interviewed by Brian Fritz for Sporting News and was asked whether it’s difficult for her to watch WrestleMania rather than be on the actual card. “I feel like that anytime I’m watching Raw or anything but I think this WrestleMania, I’ve been saying it for the past first days and it sounds really cheesy, but there’s so many of my friends that are on the show this year,” Bayley said. “Sami Zayn, Kalisto and especially the girls with Sasha, Becky and Charlotte that I’m going to have such a good time watching them. I’ve been watching by their side the last could of years and now being able to watch them on the show, I feel like I am part of the show. Next year, I’m going to make sure that I am on the show.”

Bayley also whether she has felt differently since winning the NXT Championship. “Yeah definitely,” she said. “I’ve always tried to be a leader. As the girls were going up to WWE (Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Becky Lynch), I’ve moved closer to being the actual leader and being the longest (tenured) diva in the locker room so I always knew that this time was going to come. Once I became the champion, I knew that I was going to have girls looking up to me as far as in the locker room. I had to led by example and I always had to be the first person there, the last person to leave, the hardest worker in the room and be able to help wherever it’s needed, everything.” Read the full interview at SportingNews.com.

Powell’s POV: All eyes will be on the outcome of Bayley’s match with Asuka at NXT Takeover: Dallas, as a loss could be an indication that Bayley will finally be called up to the main roster. I just hope that WWE gets the creative right for her character, which has been tremendous at the NXT level. Bayley also spoke about that match, the pressure of topping previous matches, her personality, and much more. You can also listen to the interview as well as the one that Brian conducted with Roman Reigns at the Between The Ropes Soundcloud page.
