January 13 Episode

NXT GM William Regal returned following his neck surgery. He announced that the main event would be a battle royal to determine the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Women’s Championship. He then introduced Sami Zayn who came out for a promo.

Zayn said that he wants to be the first ever two-time NXT Champion. Samoa Joe interrupted and questioned whether Zayn deserved it. He ordered Zayn to leave, but Baron Corbin came out and cut a promo on both guys. He claimed to be the uncrowned champion. Joe left and Corbin attacked Zayn, but Zayn fought him off. Joe teased coming back down to attack, but decided against it and left.

1. Tommaso Ciampa beat Danny Burch (a/k/a Martin Stone).

2. NXT Tag Champions Dash and Dawson pinned The Ascension.

3. Elias Sampson squashed Corey Elias.

4. Carmella won the battle royal to become No. 1 Contender to the NXT Women’s Championship.

January 20 Episode

1. Sami Zayn over Adam Rose.

2. Apollo Crews defeated Tye Dillinger. Post-match, Crews challenged NXT Champion Finn Bálor to a non-title match.

3. Baron Corbin pinned Rich Swann. This one was quite fun for only going a couple of minutes.

4. NXT Women’s Champion Bayley and Carmella beat Alexa Bliss and Emma.

5. Samoa Joe over Johnny Gargano. This one wasn’t anything special, which was somewhat disappointing based on expectations.

January 27 Episode

1. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan beat Blake and Murphy.

2. Nia Jax squashed Liv Morgan.

3. Alex Riley returned to action with a win over Bull Dempsey.

4. Elias Sampson over John Skyler.

5. Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin to determine the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Championship ended amidst controversy when Corbin tapped while Zayn had him in a Sharpshooter and Joe had him in a Crossface. This will presumably lead to a No. 1 Contender match between Zayn and Joe on the Jan. 22 show/taping from UCF.

February 3 Episode

1. The Vaudevillains defeated The Hype Bros.

2. Carmella rolled Emma up for the win.

3. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady squashed a pair of enhancement wrestlers.

4. Asuka beat Santana Garrett.

5. NXT Champion Finn Bálor pinned Apollo Crews in a non-title match. Notably, Bálor scored the win with the Bloody Sunday.
