WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has reentered the United States Anti-Doping Agency testing program. Lesnar reportedly has five months remaining on his one year suspension for failing two USADA tests dating back to UFC 200 in July 2016 (his suspension was put on hold when he opted out of the testing in February). Powell’s POV: Lesnar is believed to be under contract to WWE through WrestleMania. While many are speculating that the USADA development is a sign that Lesnar is leaving WWE his deal expires, it’s worth noting that WWE allowed him to fight at UFC 200 while he was under contract. So even thought it appears he is interested in fighting again, it’s still possible that he could fight for UFC and continue to wrestle for WWE.
Thursday Update: UFC Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky told MMA Junkie that there is “zero truth” to reports that Lesnar has entered the testing pool. “(Lesnar) is not currently enrolled in the USADA testing pool, nor has there been any inquiry on his part to do so,” Novitzky said.
UFC has already said this isn’t true. Don’t believe everything Bleacher Report tells you.
