AAA Lucha Libre Worldwide results (10/24): Vetter’s review of Dominik Mysterio vs. Grande Americano, La Catalina vs. La Hiedra vs. Flammer for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship

By Chris Vetter, ProWrestling.net Contributor (@chrisvetter73)

Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (Episode 39 – Heroes Immortales)
Mexico City, Mexico, at Gimnasio Olimpico
Streamed live October 24, 2026, on Fox in Latin America and on the WWE YouTube Channel

Corey Graves, Rey Mysterio, and JBL provided commentary. Because I watched the World Series instead, I unfortunately didn’t watch this live, which meant I had to suffer through the YouTube commercial breaks every 2.5 minutes. This product is borderline unwatchable with all these breaks.

* Like every show, we open by seeing wrestlers arrive at the building earlier in the day.

* Los Perros Del Mal came to the ring. The challengers were already in the ring.

1. “Los Perros Del Mal” Angel Garza, Berto, and Daga (w/Karmen Petrovic) vs. Nino Hamburguesa, Mr. Iguana, and La Parka for the AAA Six-Man Tag Titles. The challengers attacked, and we’re underway! Hamburguesa hit a rolling cannonball in the corner. Mr. Iguana hit a DDT on Berto, then a Crucifix Driver. Angel unzipped Mr. Iguana’s top and chopped his bare chest. Daga hit a back suplex for a nearfall at 2:30. Daga hit a snap suplex for a nearfall. Los Perros worked over Iguana on the floor.

Berto tied Iguana in the ropes and hit some Sheamus-style blows to the chest. Iguana finally flipped Berto over the ropes to the floor at 7:00. La Parka got the hot tag and hit a backbreaker over his knee on Angel. On the floor, Daga hit a decapitating clothesline on Iguana. Hamburguesa tried flirting with Karmen… but the heels shoved him into the ring post. In the ring, La Parka hit a stunner on Angel. Daga got a blind tag, hit a low-blow uppercut on La Parka, and rolled him up for the tainted pin. Okay match.

“Los Perros Del Mal” Angel Garza, Berto, and Daga defeated Nino Hamburguesa, Mr. Iguana, and La Parka to retain the AAA Six-Man Tag Titles at 9:02.

* A heavyset Latina woman dubbed “Big Mommy” in a yellow dress ran to the ring and brawled with Karmen. Corey Graves said she’s a legendary luchador; I don’t have the history of AAA to know anything about her. Los Perros pulled Karmen out of the ring and carried her to the back.

* So … many … ads. Boxing and upcoming WWE PLEs.

* Footage aired of La Catalina winning the Reina De Reinas Title. In the women’s locker room, we saw Lady Maravilla again trying to play peacemaker between Flammer and La Hiedra.

2. La Catalina vs. Flammer vs. La Hiedra in a three-way for the Reina De Reinas Title. The Las Toxicas teammates were jawing at each other, but then they both attacked Catalina and stomped on her. Lady Maravilla was at ringside. The heels crotched Catalina around the ring post at 1:30 and they celebrated. Catalina flipped both heels, then she hit a double clothesline. She suplexed La Hiedra. Hiedra flipped Catalina to the mat. Flammer hit a running Meteora on Catalina. Flammer hit a top-rope crossbody block at 3:30.

Las Toxicas continued to hit some punches to Catalina’s ribs. Catalina flipped them both to the floor, then hit a top-rope crossbody block to the floor on both of them. In the ring, Flammer accidentally bumped into La Hiedra, knocking her off the apron to the floor! Flammer hit a dropkick for a nearfall, but Hiedra jumped in and threw Flammer to the floor and tried to steal the pin at 7:00! Las Tóxicas argued. Lady Maravilla handed La Hiedra the title belt. She nearly (accidentally?) struck Flammer but stopped! Catalina knocked Flammer into Hiedra, again sending Hiedra to the floor. Catalina immediately hit a running knee on Flammer for the pin. Okay action.

La Catalina defeated Flammer and La Hiedra in a three-way to retain the Reina De Reinas Title at 7:57.

* In the locker room, Rey Fenix spoke with Mini Vikingo, who informed Fenix he has an injured elbow and may need surgery.

* More commercials. We then saw footage of El Grande Americano beating Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Title.

3. El Grande Americano vs. Dominik Mysterio (w/Dorian Roldan) for the AAA Title. Dorian struck Americano with a chairshot to the back during introductions! Dominik immediately hit a 619 for a nearfall. He choked Americano in the ropes and was in charge. Americano backed him into a corner and hit a series of punches. Omos came from the back at 3:30, wearing a suit. The distraction again allowed Dominik to take control and stomp on Americano. They brawled to the floor, where Dominik hit some chops and threw Americano onto an empty announcer’s table.

In the ring, Dominik choked Americano with a shirt. Americano hit an Air Raid Crash for a nearfall at 7:30. They got up and traded forearm strikes. Dominik couldn’t hit a 619. However, he hit a DDT on the ring apron at 9:00, and he shoved Americano back into the ring. He went for a frog splash, but Americano got his knees up. Americano hit running knees, then a Blockbuster, and he was fired up! Omos tripped Americano.

Pimpinela Escarlata was in the front row and struck Omos, so Omos grabbed Pimpi! Americano made the save. In the ring, Americano hit a flying headbutt for a visual pin, but Omos pulled the ref from the ring. Omos, while standing on the floor, punched Americano in the ring. Rey Mysterio appeared and hit a 619 around the ring post on Omos, then repeatedly hit Omos across the back with a chair! Rey hit a chairshot on Dom, too! Americano immediately hit another flying headbutt for the pin.

El Grande Americano defeated Dominik Mysterio to retain the AAA Title at 11:58.

Final Thoughts: AAA has been in a rut since the conclusion of Triplemania. I didn’t care about any of the three matches tonight. The crowd is still loving Americano, but the whole match had a “been there, done that” vibe to it. It’s time for Americano to move on to new and fresh feuds.

Nothing actively bad here, but I couldn’t reach a “good match” rating on anything tonight. Everything was just “okay,” in other words, essentially 1.75 stars to 2.25 stars, if you are into rating matches that way. A 55-ish minute episode is also just overstuffed with commercials. Graves’ play-by-play commentary continues to be a highlight of the show.
