WWE is advertising the following matches and events for Monday’s WWE Raw television show.
-World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns returns
-Jey Uso will present Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns per last week’s match stipulations
-Rey Fenix vs. El Fiscal in a first-round tournament match for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship
-Dragon Lee vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner in a first-round tournament match for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship
Powell’s POV: Penta advanced to the semifinals by beating Laredo Kid last night. He will face the winner of the Psycho Clown vs. La Parka tournament match that will take place on Saturday’s AAA television show. The winners of the two tournament matches on next week’s Raw will meet in the other semifinal match. The semifinal matches will be held on the August 24 Raw in Ottawa, Ontario, and the final will be held on the August 31 Raw in Birmingham, Alabama. The winner will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship on the September 14 Raw in Mexico City.
Monday’s Raw will be live from Buffalo, New York, at KeyBank Center. Chad Gable and Rey Mysterio agreed to meet for the Intercontinental Championship, but that match was not advertised for Monday, nor did they specify when it will take place.
