TNA Impact results (10/1): Powell’s review of Mustafa Ali and Special Agent Zero vs. The Great Hands, Moose vs. AJ Francis, Ricky Sosa vs. Cedric Alexander, Zoey Serrano vs. Indi Hartwell

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

TNA Impact (Episode 1,159)
Taped September 24-25, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the Boeing Center at Tech Port
Simulcast live October 1, 2026, on AMC, AMC+, and TNA+

[Hour One] Impact opened with a memorial graphic for “Pac” Benjamin Satterley… Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy were shown arriving at the building. The Hardys looked cautious, and Matt carried a weapon… Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt were on commentary.

Rig announcer McKenzie Mitchell delivered the introductions for the opening match as the entrances were taking place…

1. Mr. Elegance (w/The Concierge) vs. BDE (w/Rich Swann). The broadcast team offered their condolences regarding the death of Pac. “Ben, we love you, and we will miss you,” Rehwoldt said. Late in the match, BDE set up for his finisher, but BDE stuffed it. BDE went for a springboard move that Elegance blocked. Elegance hoited up BDE for a move, but slipped away and then rolled up Elegance to win his first singles match in TNA.

BDE beat Mr. Elegance in 4:30.

BDE and Swann celebrated. Mr. Elegance was upset and shoved The Concierge to the mat…

Powell’s POV: I’m surprised they didn’t get a little more out of BDE finally winning a TNA singles match. The crowd was into it, though. This episode was taped before Pac’s death, so it was nice of TNA to go the extra mile by adding some comments from the broadcast team.

Backstage, Jason Hotch called out John Skyler for not leaving Order 4 with him because he said he needed the job, yet immediately following Mila Moore when she left the faction. Skyler said he has nothing at home and Order 4 was his family. Skyler said he found his person in Moore, so he’s happy now. Skyler said he would go to the ring later and have Moore in his corner, and he needed to know if his partner would be there…

Hannifan hyped some upcoming matches before the first commercial break… [C]

Home Town Man was hanging out with a person dressed as Deuce, the Dude Wipes mascot. The mascot gave him a sample, and Home Town Man acted blown away. AJ Francis and Expressions showed up. Francis was pissed at the mascot. Francis said the only reason the mascot was there was because of him, and he’s also the reason he’d be at ringside during his match. Francis shoved the mascot over and said he better do his job…

Powell’s POV: I mean…

Zoey Serrano made her entrance and was trailed by TNA’s head of security. Serrano spotted a fan with a sign that said Indi Hartwell will be the next Knockouts Champion. She took the sign and tore it in half. Serrano lunged to go after the fan, but the head of security stopped her. Hartwell’s entrance followed…

2. Zoey Serrano vs. Indi Hartwell. Knockouts Champion Xia Brookside sat in on commentary. Serrano went for an early springboard move, but Hartwell caught her and slammed her to the mat, which drew gasps from the crowd. Hartwell sent Serrano to the floor and followed.

Brookside warned Hartwell to be careful what she wished for because you never know when it’s going to come knocking. Serrano tossed Hartwell back in the ring and then turned and booted a security guard. Serrano returned to the ring with a chair. Serrano jabbed Hartwell with the chair for the DQ.

Indi Hartwell beat Zoey Serrano by DQ in 3:00.

Serrano took some extra shots at Hartwell before exiting the ring. Hannifan played up the possibility that Daria Rae was behind Serrano’s attack. Xia Brookside entered the ring and hit Hartwell with the Knockouts Title belt… [C]

Powell’s POV: This was disappointing for anyone hoping to see a longer match with a better finish. Normally, I’d be in that camp, but I like the way they are establishing Serrano as ruthless and out of control. If Hartwell wins the Knockouts Championship at Bound For Glory, I wouldn’t be surprised if Serrano eventually beats her for the title.

A Bound For Glory ad aired…

TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali and Special Agent Zero made their entrance with Tasha Steelz. John Skyler and Mila Moore walked out holding hands. They watched the entrance area to see if his partner would come out. Jason Hotch made his entrance, and they headed to the ring together…

3. Mustafa Ali and Special Agent Zero (w/Tasha Steelz) vs. “The Great Hands” Jason Hotch and John Skyler (w/Mila Moore). Hotch dove at Zero, who was on the apron. Zero caught Hotch, pressed him over his head, and then dropped him on the apron. Ali followed up with a Draping DDT on the floor.

Skyler speared Ali and threw punches at him. Zero pulled Skyler off Ali and brought him to the apron, but Skyler ended up spearing Zero to the floor. Skyler rolled Ali back inside the ring and followed, but Ali cut him off with a kick. Hotch returned to the ring, and then he and Skyler hit Ali with a Shatter Machine. Zero returned and clotheslined both opponents over the top rope. Zero dove over the ropes onto Hotch and Skyler on the floor.

Back in the ring, Ali worked over Hotch. Rehwoldt pointed out that Skyler seemed to be favoring a knee while on the apron. The heels isolated Hotch. He eventually rallied with a big powerbomb on Ali. Hotch made the hot tag. Skyler worked over Ali, and then he and Hotch performed Total Elimination on Zero.

Zero came back with a double chokeslam for a near fall. Ali yelled at the referee and then threw a kick toward Moore, who was on the floor. Ali tagged in. Hotch hit Zero with a crossbody block that sent them both tumbling over the top rope. Ali went for a 450 that Skyler avoided. Skyler speared Ali through the ropes for a near fall. Ali pulled Skyler throat-first into the ropes and then locked in a Sharpshooter. Skyler tapped out while the broadcast team spoke about the knee injury he suffered during the match.

Mustafa Ali and Special Agent Zero defeated “The Great Hands” Jason Hotch and John Skyler in 12:20.

Afterward, Ali told Zero to go after Hotch. Zero didn’t budge initially, but then he punched Hotch. Zero ignored more of Ali’s commands before obliging when Steelz motioned for him to kick Hotch. Ali threw a fit. Steelz pointed at Ali, and then Zero turned him inside out with a clothesline.

Moore checked on Skyler. Steelz ordered Zero to go after Moore. Zero gave Moore a chokebomb. Steelz stood next to Zero and held up the TNA International Championship. Oddly, a “TNA” chant broke out…

Powell’s POV: When the heels isolated Hotch, I wondered if Skyler was going to drop off the apron rather than take the hot tag. Going into the match, I was actually hoping that Moore pulled a ruse and Skyler never actually left Order 4. It still annoys me that she did such a 180 from one show to the next. Anyway, this was an entertaining tag team match. For that matter, the Order 4 saga is still compelling despite my quibbles.

Hannifan hosted the sponsored injury report. Indi Hartwell was being evaluated following Zoey Serrano’s attack. He said she has to be considered questionable for Bound For Glory. Hannifan said Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy have been medically cleared after being attacked by “SYX” Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer… [C]

Hannifan delivered his weekly plug for iamals.org while an older photo of Rebel was shown…

Backstage, Skyler called for help for Moore. Mustafa Ali entered the area and yelled about Steelz. Jason Hotch showed up. Hotch fought Zero while Ali fought Skyler. Security pulled the wrestlers apart. TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella showed up and booked them in a four-way for the TNA International Title at Bound For Glory…

Powell’s POV: I liked this, but shouldn’t Skyler have fought Zero, since he’s the one who chokeslammed his girlfriend? It will be interesting to see if they create more tension between Hotch and Skyler going into the four-way. This feels rushed even though they’ve had plenty of time to tell this story, but I am looking forward to the match.

Expressions walked onto the stage and taunted the crowd by talking about celebrating like the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals. Expressions introduced AJ Francis, who made his entrance.

4. Moose vs. AJ Francis (w/Expressions). The Dude Wipes mascot was at ringside. Both men fought for position on the ropes. Francis headbutted Moose, who fell to the mat. Francis gloated, but Moose shot up and superplexed him. Expressions climbed on the apron, which caused a distraction that led to Francis spearing Moose for a near fall.

Francis told Expressions to get the table, and then joined him in pulling one out from underneath the ring. They set up the table on the floor. Francis pulled out a black bag and poured Dude Wipes on top of the table. My lord. Francis set up Moose on the apron, but the mascot pulled Moose to safety. Moose kicked Expressions off the apron, and he fell through the table.

Francis grabbed the mascot, but Moose grabbed a toilet seat and hit Francis with it. The toilet seat ended up staying around the neck of Francis, who was speared and pinned by Moose…

Moose beat AJ Francis in 7:40.

Hannifan hyped the remaining matches… [C]

Powell’s POV: I hope Expressions survived landing on that table covered with, um, Dude Wipes. Ugh. I hope the sponsor paid a fortune for this nonsense.

A video aired with Allie and Kiera Hogan walking down a hallway and crossing paths with Rosemary, who waved at Allie. They cut to Allie and Hogan approaching a fence that Rosemary was on the other side of while wearing a straitjacket. Allie wondered if this was real or in her head.

Rosemary said she couldn’t go there again. “Where are you?” Rosemary asked. Allie said she didn’t understand, but she heard her. Rosemary said Allie couldn’t come there, then yelled about snakes in the grass…

Powell’s POV: Hey, is it too late to bring back the Dude Wipes mascot?

Hannifan questioned what “snakes in the grass” meant, and then Leon Slater made his entrance. Nic Nemeth was seated with the broadJoe Alonzo’s entrance followed, and he generated heat with some mic work on his way to the ring. Alonzo said Slater came out and played cheerleader during KC Navarro’s match. Alonzo said Slater was like Nic Nemeth in 2006, then apologized. A “boring” chant broke out.

5. Leon Slater vs. Joe Alonzo. Alonzo finally told the referee to call for the bell. Once the bell rang, Alonzo walked into a Slater kick. Slater hit the Swanton 450 and got the quick win.

Leon Slater beat Joe Alonzo in 0:20.

Afterward, Nemeth left the broadcast table and climbed on the apron, but he dropped to the floor when Slater ran toward him. Nemeth eventually ran to the back. Slater grabbed Nemeth’s TNA World Championship and TNA Tag Team Title belts from the broadcast table and then played to the crowd…

Powell’s POV: Alonzo got decent heat while he was on his way to the ring, but then he overstayed his welcome, and it felt like it turned into bad heat. And then he kept going even longer, which made it hilarious to this viewer. I hope they don’t make Alonzo the guy who runs his mouth and loses all of his matches.

A video package showed Frankie Kazarian training Avery Styles for the Call Your Shot gauntlet at Bound For Glory. Kazarian said they would be training every day to make sure one of them wins the gauntlet. Styles put Kazarian in a wrist lock. Kazarian said he had a phone call, so Styles released the hold. Kazarian shoved Styles over the top rope. Kazarian told Styles not to turn his back on anyone, especially him…

Hannifan hyped SYX for later in the show… [C]

Backstage, The Concierge was talking up M be Elegance, Heather by Elegance, and Mr. Elegance, when Elayna Black entered the picture. Black and M jawed at each other about their Knockouts TV Title match on next week’s Impact. M called herself the centerpiece of the Elegance Brand. Black asked Heather what she thought of that, but the Concierge quickly intervened. M spoke about embarrassing Black next week. Black said that if M thinks she’s so big and bad, she should face Black without having her allies at ringside. M agreed she’d fight Black without having her crew at ringside…

Powell’s POV: Will they follow through on this, or are they setting up the return of Ash by Elegance?

The main event entrances took place…

6. Ricky Sosa vs. Cedric Alexander. Sosa performed an early dive over the top rope onto Alexander on the floor. [C] Alexander took offensive control.

The following matches were announced for next week’s Impact: Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth and Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy for the TNA Tag Team Titles, M by Elegance vs. Elyana Black for the Knockouts TV Title with the Elegance Brand banned from ringside, and an eight-person tag team match. No wrestlers were advertised for the eight-person tag, but Hannifan said something about a random draw advantage for the Call Your Shot gauntlet being determined.

Late in the match, Sosa put Alexander down with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Sosa set up for his finisher, but Brian Myers and Bear Bronson ran out. Sosa knocked them off the apron and dumped Alexander to the floor. Alexander climbed on the apron. Sosa jumped over the top rope and performed a huracanrana that launched Alexander onto Myers and Bronson.

Alisha Edwards climbed on the apron and distracted the referee. Eddie Edwards snuck inside the ring and low-blowed Sosa. Eddie left the ring, and then Alexander performed a Lumbar Check on Sosa before pinning him.

Cedric Alexander beat Ricky Sosa in 13:00.

Afterward, The System members stood over Sosa…

Powell’s POV: A good match. The finish wasn’t satisfying, but they are putting heat on Eddie heading into his match with Sosa at Bound For Glory.

Clips of “SYX” Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer were shown before the final break… [C] Hannifan hyped the Hardys 30-year Legacy Celebration on Tuesday, October 13, in Dothan, Alabama. Hannifan said the Hardys will play matchmakers..

“SYX” Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer appeared in the ring following a light show and were greeted with a mix of boos and cheers. “We’re here,” Sawyer said while looking into the camera. Shaw said people have asked who was taking out everyone for over a month. He said you have your answer, but you’re asking the wrong question. Shaw said they should ask why.

Shaw said TNA is a rotten place. He said they were there because sometimes a place becomes so rotten that it has to be cut apart. Sawyer said they did the cutting one by one. He said it doesn’t matter who or where; no one is safe and no help is coming. Sawyer threatened that anyone who wears a TNA shirt is on the chopping block.

Shaw said every chopping block has names at the top. Shaw mentioned Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. Shaw said they built their reputations doing things that normal men would never survive. Shaw said they proved that they can’t be killed. Shaw said they tried, and the Hardys survived. Shaw was fine with that because now they get to do it again.

Sawyer said Matt wanted them last week, and he got them. Sawyer said the Hardys spent their lives being extreme. “Now let’s see how hard it is to kill you,” Sawyer said. He said that if sick is what they are, then sick is what they’ll be.

The Hardys entrance theme played, and they walked onto the stage. Matt said Shaw and Sawyer attacked people from behind and hid in the shadows for over a month. Jeff said they tried to take them out, but he and Matt are still standing. Matt said they tried to put him and Jeff down, but they failed.

Matt said the reason they’ve survived so many things is that they are unkillable, “because we will not die.” Matt said if they want to learn how hard it is to kill the Hardys, they should meet at Bound For Glory. Matt said they should make it bigger. He said they like to attack people all over the venue, so they should make it a no DQ, no count-out, anything goes, falls count anywhere match.

Jeff said he loved the idea and said they should give it to the fans tonight. The Hardys headed to the ring, but the lights went out. When the lights returned, Shaw and Sawyer were no longer in the ring. The producer credits were shown while Hannifan hyped that the team will meet at Bound For Glory “at the chopping block”…

Powell’s POV: I could do without all of the death talk because no one believes anyone is going to die in a pro wrestling storyline. Okay, so they’ve done some idiotic things in the Undead Realm, but hopefully you know what I’m saying. Anyway, the first SYX promo was solid, yet went on a little longer than necessary. Sawyer has been nursing a knee injury suffered after these tapings, so hopefully he’ll be able to wrestle at Bound For Glory. Perhaps Erick Redbeard should keep his phone handy just in case.

Overall, this was a solid penultimate episode heading into Bound For Glory. I’m looking forward to the Nic Nemeth vs. Leon Slater main event, but they haven’t done enough to make it feel special and worthy of being in the main event of the company’s biggest show of the year. I don’t think they can change that with just one show to go.
