The hotly anticipated collision headlines IMPACT Wrestling\u2019s biggest pay-per-view event of the year, which takes place in Nashville, TN, on\u00a0<strong>Saturday, October 24\u00a0<\/strong>(8p.m. ET\/ 5p.m. PT).<\/p>\n<p>The confirmation for this huge World Championship match came during last night\u2019s\u00a0<em>IMPACT!<\/em>\u00a0on AXS TV. Swann stormed to the ring and demanded IMPACT executive\u00a0<strong>Scott D\u2019Amore<\/strong>\u00a0grant him a shot at Young, the self-anointed \u201cWorld Class Maniac\u201d who had viciously attacked Swann in August.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019Amore, who is IMPACT Wrestling\u2019s Executive Vice President, said: \u201cFans should get ready for one of the most exciting matches in\u00a0<em>Bound For Glory<\/em>\u00a0history. Whatever people think about Young\u2019s tactics since he\u2019s returned to IMPACT, no one can deny he\u2019s one of the best in-ring performers in all of professional wrestling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, Eric is facing a very determined Rich Swann. This is the biggest opportunity of Rich\u2019s career \u2013 a world title shot at IMPACT\u2019s showcase event of the year. And, obviously, it\u2019s a very personal match for Rich. When he asked \u2013 no, when he\u00a0<em>demanded<\/em>\u00a0this fight \u2013 I saw a look in Rich Swann\u2019s eyes that let me know he\u2019s going to deliver the performance of his life at\u00a0<em>Bound For Glory<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em><strong>Bound For Glory\u2019 will be available on Pay-Per-View in North America at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 24 on \u2013InDemand, DISH, DirecTV, Vubiquity, Rogers, Bell, Shaw, Sasktel and around the world digitally via\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fite.tv\/watch\/bound-for-glory-2020\/2p7xq\/\"><em><strong>FITE TV (order now)<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em><strong>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The former X-Division Champion had announced he was done with active competition just moments before Young\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=I3KrKsS--3k\">sneak attack<\/a>. Swann spent the first half of 2020 painfully rehabilitating his right leg after suffering a serious fracture in January and, frustrated when the leg was reinjured at July\u2019s\u00a0<em>Slammiversary<\/em><sup><em>\u00a9<\/em><\/sup>, announced his retirement. Ironically, it was Young\u2019s August 4 assault that made Swann determined to return to action and finally win the World Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Swann said: \u201cI really should thank this maniac for reigniting a fire in me that was beginning to fade during those months of endless rehabilitation sessions. I can\u2019t describe the emotions I have going into\u00a0<em>Bound For Glory<\/em>. I\u2019m going to remind everyone, especially Eric Young, just how high I can fly. I\u2019ve hurt Rich Swann physically, I\u2019ve crushed him psychology and, at\u00a0<em>Bound For Glory<\/em>, I will end him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Every IMPACT championship will be defended as part of what promises to be an instant classic\u00a0<em>Bound For Glory<\/em>\u00a0event.
