Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> Archer had a standout year as a singles wrestler in New Japan Pro Wrestling with some impressive outings in the G1 tournament and in other matches. Archer will turn 43 on Friday.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Update:<\/strong> AEW issued the following press release to announce the signing of Archer to a multi-year deal.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>February 26, 2020 \u2013 All Elite Wrestling today announced a multi-year deal with Lance Archer, a global professional wrestling sensation renowned for his brutal, powerhouse moves including the Blackout and EBD Claw.<\/p>\n<p>Archer, a Texas native and former collegiate quarterback, is also known by his menacing monikers &#8211; \u201cThe Murderhawk Monster\u201d and \u201cThe American Psychopath.\u201d Standing at 6\u20198\u201d and weighing in at 260 pounds, Archer\u2019s dominating stature and natural athletic prowess have defined his 20-year career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been in the business for almost half of my life, but with AEW, I\u2019m setting my sights on the best chapter of my career so far,\u201d said Lance Archer. \u201cThis company champions the creative, competitive and electrifying environment that I\u2019ve been waiting for my whole career. No matter where I go\u2014no matter who steps in front of me\u2014I\u2019m the one you should be afraid of at AEW.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLance Archer is explosive, dynamic and unpredictable, making him perfect for AEW,\u201d said Tony Khan, President and CEO of AEW. \u201cHe\u2019s made his mark in every corner of the world.
