Runnels said she brings her gun when she visits her mother because of armadillos that ruin her mother&#8217;s garden &#8220;and other critters&#8221; that attack her mother&#8217;s chickens. She said she got roughly eight hours of sleep over three days and simply forgot that the gun was in her bag. &#8220;I&#8217;ve never been in trouble in my life and it scared the hell out of me,&#8221; Runnels said. &#8220;It was a simple mistake&#8230; It was horrible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> Runnels got emotional and said she just wanted to set the record straight.
