Stoops coached the Oklahoma Sooners to a 190-48 record before he announced his retirement on June 7, 2017. The 59 year-old coach led the Sooners to a National Championship in 2000.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> It&#8217;s a big name hire for the XFL and the press conference will be held just two days before the rival AAF league holds its first game.
