She wrote that she has been battling with Lucha Underground for a year-and-a-half to let her out of the deal. &#8220;They convinced me to do [season four] under the promise that I&#8217;d be released after the season concluded and was still unhappy,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;They currently are refusing to do so despite having been told numerous times that they would.&#8221; Read her full statement below.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> Ivelisse went on to write that she feels as if she is &#8220;being legally held hostage while pro wrestling is booming.&#8221; It&#8217;s a tough situation because obviously LU talents signed the contracts, but at some point it would be nice if the company would agree to sever ties with talent who no longer wish to be involved with them and their infrequent taping schedule. And while it&#8217;s obviously her word against that of company officials, if she was told that she would be released if she was unhappy at the end of the latest season, then one would hope that they would make good on that.
