Siino was fired when the Huffington Post&#8217;s Luke O&#8217;Brien did a feature on Siino&#8217;s wife Amy Mekelburg, who started an organization called Resistance Against Islamic Radicals, and runs an Islamophobic account on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>WWE officials told O&#8217;Brien last week that it was the first they were hearing of Mekelburg. When O&#8217;Brien reached out the following day, WWE confirmed that Siino was no longer with the company. &#8220;Now that it has come to our attention, Sal Siino is no longer an employee,&#8221; a company spokesman stated. Siino declined to comment for the story, but his wife indicated via Twitter that he was fired by the company.
