Russell had been hospitalized since he fell and broke a hip last week.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> Russell was a terrific play-by-play voice and is regarded as one of the true nice guys of the industry. Russell died just four days after his daughter lost her battle with cancer.
