Happy for this opportunity to call bouts involving new wrestlers, for me, and a new broadcast partner which freshens up all facets of the process. Stay tuned as to when these specials will be broadcast on the WWE Network which is still the best value in the land for only $9.99 per month. WWE has other bookings for me as well and we will announce them when they are completely finalized. So, &#8216;Business is Picking Up!&#8217; I am happy to say.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> The matches were taped over the weekend and obviously it appears as though JR and Nigel will be calling the action in the studio just as JR currently does for the NJPW shows on AXS. The official air date has not been announced, but Triple H indicated that these shows will be available on WWE Network laster this month.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<i>Ross on New Japan&#8217;s U.S. dates and AXS TV:<\/i> &#8220;AXSTV has finalized their broadcast plans with NJPW for the July 1-2 weekend in Long Beach, California and the official announcement will be made on May 18. You&#8217;re going to like what you hear.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> A live broadcast of the July 2 show could lead to a tough situation for Impact Wrestling in that their Slammiversary event is the same night. That said, there&#8217;s still no official word on the AXS plans let alone whether they include live broadcasts, so I guess we&#8217;ll find out on May 18 unless word leaks before then.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<i>Ross on the ROH parent company&#8217;s big purchase:<\/i> &#8220;With Sinclair Broadcasting buying Tribune Media Co for $3.9 Billion could mean that Sinclair&#8217;s ROH Wrestling might have the opportunity grow their brand if Sinclair decides to go in that direction. It will be interesting to see what direction ROH travels after this buyout is completed. Could be some interesting times ahead for ROH.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> It could end up being business as usual, it could lead to bigger and better things for ROH, or it could even be bad news. For instance, what if SBG opts to save some money in other areas of their operating?
