Kidd spoke in Japanese to a prone Yuya, then he switched to English. “The Death Riders have declared war on New Japan, because it’s the Death Riders against the f—en world,” Kidd said. The confetti cannons went off to cover Kidd and Moxley in streamers.

Final Thoughts: What a show! Sure, we knew that Callum and Ospreay were going to wind up fighting each other to set up a singles match. And we knew that Shingo was going to fight Moxley at Wrestle Kingdom. But I like the other added matches, as Kidd-Yuya seems on, and the three-way for the junior tag titles should be a blast. Even Sho-Yoh should be fun, as I presume Yoh wins to force a reluctant Sho to team with him again.

The main event was really good, and they held the crowd for the full 30 minutes. I loved the Omega three-way; they did a lot in a match of that length. No complaints about the Super Junior finals, except that it wrapped up sooner than anticipated. The pieces are all in place for one heckuva NJPW vs. AEW night at Wrestle Kingdom.

Listen to "Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast" on Spreaker.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[50,2,1378,11
2486,5431,5790,479,210,464,5113
post-199234","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-mustreadarticles","category-newsticker","category-njpw-ppv-reports","category-ppv_reports","tag-aew","tag-boltin-oleg","tag-callum-newman","tag-kenny-omega","tag-njpw","tag-will-ospreay","tag-yota-tsuji

NJPW "Power Struggle"
