Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce were shown backstage speaking to one another. They argued about brand supremacy until Trick Williams walked up. Bron Breakker quickly interrupted and thanked Nick Aldis for bringing him to the building and wasting his time. Trick and Yachty told Bron that he was kidding himself if he didn\u2019t think Trick was grabbing the briefcase tomorrow. Aldis and Pearce decided this would make for a good main event and Aldis made it official in a mocking tone.<\/p>\n<p>In the arena, CM Punk made his ring entrance. He asked if it was a great time to be alive on a Friday in Lafayette Louisiana, and then drew attention to the ladders and briefcases in and above the ring. He addressed why he was in a ladder match at this stage of his career, and recalled winning the briefcase twice before, and he had a chance to break history by being the only three time Money in the Bank Ladder Match winner. Punk said people tell him that he\u2019s crazy and it can\u2019t be done, but he tells his haters to just watch him.<\/p>\n<p>Punk said there are some dangerous competitors in this match, and all of them are tougher than the current champion. He called attention to his competition, and complimented everyone but Kevin Owens, who he said he didn\u2019t sweat at all. Owens quickly made his entrance, and Punk talked over his entrance music about how he beat him in Toronto in front of his Mom. Owens said winning the contract was his top priority, but just as important to him is making sure Punk doesn\u2019t get the contract, because nobody needs to see him as WWE Champion ever again.<\/p>\n<p>The crowd booed, and Owens said as long as Punk loses he would consider it a victory. Punk said that was always his excuse, he\u2019s always settling for some consolation prize. Punk said he believes in himself, and that\u2019s the difference between them because Owens would always be in the dirt looking up at him. Owens said he\u2019s never looked up to Punk, and they were both on top of ladders at this point. Owens said when he looks into Punk\u2019s eyes he sees someone who won\u2019t walk out with the contract tomorrow, and then he would cash in on that bitch Sami Zayn and take the WWE Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Sami Zayn\u2019s music played while Owens and Punk continued to bicker. Owens pretended he couldn\u2019t hear Punk while Sami finished his entrance. Sami climbed the shortest ladder in the ring and Owens immediately mocked him for it. Zayn soaked in crowd chants and boos and told Punk and Owens that all of this is very disappointing. He complained about the WWE Champion being on the shortest ladder, and Punk told him it\u2019s not the size of the ladder it\u2019s what you do with it. He told Owens he would wrap a ladder around his fat head tomorrow and then he would take back his title.<\/p>\n<p>Zayn told both of them they should know better about assuming they would cash in successfully. Punk and Owens mocked Zayn for winning and retaining the title with their help. Zayn yelled at both of them that they think all of this is an accident, but it\u2019s because he\u2019s smarter than both of them that he\u2019s still the Champion. He told both men they can\u2019t even see how similar they are, but gave Owens credit for admitting wanting Punk to lose, and then told Punk that he\u2019s in denial about how much all of this bothers him. Zayn continued and said neither of them would win the briefcase because they aren\u2019t in the right headspace, and he would go on being the WWE Champion\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Take:<\/strong> The segment got considerably better once Zayn got there to poke holes in Punk and Owens certainty about their own victory. A triple threat between these three has to be on the horizon.<\/p>\n<p>Lash Legend, Tiffany Stratton, and Jacy Jayne were in the ring. Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice followed. It\u2019s a Raw vs. Smackdown triple threat match.<\/p><div id=\"prowr-2130939599\" class=\"prowr-content-4 prowr-entity-placement\" role=\"region\" aria-label=\"Advertisements\"><!-- Tag ID: prowrestling_incontent_2 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"prowrestling_incontent_2\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"prowrestling_incontent_2\", slotId: \"prowrestling_incontent_2\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><strong>1. Roxanne Perez, Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca. vs. Lash Legend, Jacy Jayne, and Tiffany Stratton:<\/strong> Jacy Jayne and Sol Ruca started the match. Perez quickly made a blind tag and made a surprise cover on Jayne for a two count. The action spilled to the floor, where Vice and Perez ended up taking out the heels with dives and aerial attacks\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p>Jacy Jayne pummeled Sol Ruca in the corner and then delivered a Superkick to Lola Vice as she stood on the apron. Ruca scrambled free and tried to tag out to Roxanne Perez, but she dropped off the apron instead. Jacy Jayne capitalized with some strikes on Ruca, but she quickly broke free again and tagged out to Vice. Lash Legend also tagged in and immediately ate a series of kicks. Vice then delivered hip attacks to both Jayne and Legend. Vice and Perez then had a falling out, and Vice left her isolated in the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Tiffany Stratton landed a forward roll slam on Perez, but Lash Legend tagged herself in to try and steal the glory. Perez broke free of her and tagged Ruca, and things started to break down. All six women were soon in the ring and going for Haymakers. Ruca accidently delivered a Sol Snatcher to Vice, and Legend took advantage with a Lash Extension and got the win.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lash Legend, Tiffany Stratton, and Jacy Jayne defeated Lola Vice, Sol Ruca, and Roxanne Perez at 11:29<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After the match, Lash smashed her teammates heads together and landed a Lash Extension on Tiffany Stratton. After the match, Chelsea Green was asked about Money in the Bank, and said she was keeping it positive and manifesting a Tiffany win so they can go celebrate on Bourbon Street. Nikki Bella walked up and said it was cute she was worried about a cash in when she would be worried about her. Chelsea called her jealous and said she peaked 10 years ago. Nikki said her title reign was a failure like her reality show dreams, and she was an inferior version of her. She said the title deserved an upgrade to the real thing, and maybe her husband too.<\/p>\n<p>Around the corner, Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab attacked Charlotte Flair and left her in considerable pain. The announce team questioned whether she could compete in her tag title match\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Take:<\/strong> Another \u201ccan they co-exist\u201d match that was entertaining, but did the usual confirmation that they cannot in fact co-exist.<\/p>\n<p>Charlotte insisted that she could compete, but Nick Aldis said she was not cleared to compete. Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley were distraught, but Charlotte told Alexa to take her place, and she reluctantly agreed. She told them to not let Jade ruin anything else, and win the tag titles. In the arena, MFT made their entrance for the next match. They were followed by the War Raiders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Erik and Ivar \u201cWar Raiders vs. Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga \u201cMFT\u201d:<\/strong> A fairly slow start to the match saw some back and forth striking before the action moved to the floor where the War Raiders took control\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p>MFT was able to regain control during the break. Erik and Tama Tonga traded strikes, and Erik got the better of it. Ivar tagged in and landed a spin kick. With help of a Talla Tonga distraction, Tama landed a neckbreaker from the corner turnbuckle and covered for a two count. Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki appeared and distracted MFT. Tama was able to focus temporarily, but another distraction led to a Viking Experience to Tama Tonga. Haku got involved at this point and hit Erik with his cane. The MFT then landed Brother\u2019s Keeper on Erik and got the win.<\/p><div id=\"prowr-2157662869\" class=\"prowr-content-5 prowr-entity-placement\" role=\"region\" aria-label=\"Advertisements\"><!-- Tag ID: prowrestling_incontent_3 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"prowrestling_incontent_3\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"prowrestling_incontent_3\", slotId: \"prowrestling_incontent_3\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><em>MFT defeated War Raiders at 8:05<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After the match, Baksai cleared MFT from the ring. War Raiders thought Baksai had cost them the match, and attacked them as well, but Nakamura shut it down quickly. Backstage, Finn Balor demanded a match with Gunther from Nick Aldis while Danhausen walked around scanning people for evil with some kind of wand. Balor scanned as evil, which intrigued Danhausen. Aldis said Gunther has wanted a match, but with Danhaused instead. He was furious at first, but Aldis said it was justified and he relented. Balor was left frustrated again\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Take:<\/strong> A forgettable match in a division that is struggling for traction. The first step is getting one of these teams over, but they aren\u2019t there yet.<\/p>\n<p>Footage was shown of Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes from last week\u2019s Main Event. Nick Aldis blew off Miz outside the building earlier in the day, and approached Randy Orton instead. Randy explained that Cody was the problem. Orton offered to go right back on his plane and go home, as long as Aldis tells Cody that the next time he actually has a chance to kick his head off, he would still hesitate.<\/p>\n<p>In the arena, Miz tried to hijack the show to complain about WWE not throwing him a birthday party. He was immediately interrupted by Cody Rhodes, and Miz became irate. Rhodes decided to take his anger out on Kit Wilson and Miz, and quickly disposed of both of them when he got in the ring. Aldis walked out and said he was tired of his show going off the rails, and why he let Randy go home. He said his job was to keep the fight in the ring, because putting people at risk the night before more of his top guys are at risk at Money in the Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Aldis wanted to take the conversation back to his office, but Cody refused. Cody explained that what Randy did to him at WrestleMania frightened his daughter, and he would carry the anger he felt from that fear to every Smackdown until he got his hands on Orton. He told Nick Aldis to get him face to face with Orton, because it was no longer about his moral compass, it was about what he was going to do to that sociopathic, human tramp stamp, fragile bitch the next time he gets the chance. After Cody wrapped up, the announce team ran down the lineup for Money in the Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Damien Priest was interviewed backstage by Cathy Kelley and said he was done explaining himself when it comes to R-Truth. Fraxiom stood nearby and talked behind his back, and he approached them when he overheard them talking about it. Frazer and Axiom told him he should apologize for what he did to Truth, and he roughed them up. Truth attacked Priest from behind and they were separated by officials. In the arena, Danhausen made his entrance\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Take:<\/strong> Good fire from Cody Rhodes in his promo. Orton is getting to live out my dream of being told I have the day off as soon as I get to work.<\/p>\n<p>Gunther made his ring entrance after the show returned. Danhausen tried to curse Gunther before the bell rang, but Gunther booted him in the face. He then gave him a powerbomb and a series of chops. Gunther delivered another Powerbomb and argued with the referee. Gunther stretched Danhausen on the turnbuckle, which brought out Finn Balor.<\/p>\n<p>Balor attacked Gunther and landed a series of chops and kicks. Gunther tried to retreat, and Balor followed him to the floor and delivered a slingblade. He then lined up for a Shotgun drop kick, but Gunther escaped into the crowd. Balor approached Danhausen to check on him, but Gunther wheeled around and attacked him from behind. Gunther tripped him on the apron and then slammed him on the ring barricade. He then powerbombed him onto the announce table, and the front of it fell off.<\/p>\n<p>Gunther left to head to the back as officials checked on Balor and Danhausen. Sami Zayn approached Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae backstage. Candice expressed skepticism about Sami being unable to help Johnny in his match last week, but Gargano was still firmly under his spell. Bron Breakker walked into frame and told Sami that he knows why he\u2019s there and he would see him soon.<\/p>\n<p>In the arena, Fatal Influence members Fallon Heley and Lainey Reid made their ring entrance for the next match. They will face Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss next\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Take:<\/strong> WWE is teasing a moment when Gunther is cursed by Danhausen, but now I\u2019m wondering if he\u2019s going to misfire and curse Balor instead.<\/p>\n<p>Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley were in the ring as the show returned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss vs. Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley \u201cFatal Influence\u201d for the WWE Women\u2019s Tag Team Championships:<\/strong> Bliss started the match in control of Fallon Henley. Paxley tagged in and landed a German Suplex. Reid tagged in, and a double team from Henley and Reid sent Paxley tumbling off the apron and to the floor\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p>Paxley landed a big right hand on Henley that sent her crashing to ringside. She attempted a sunset flip on Reid, who slipped free. Alexa Bliss made a hot tag and delivered a series of knees and a DDT to Reid. She then delivered a facebuster and covered for a near fall. Henley made a hot tag and prevented Bliss from delivering Sister Abigail to Reid. Paxley broke up a fall on Bliss and then landed a leaping kick to Reid on the apron.<\/p>\n<p>Bliss tagged out to Paxley, who went for a 450 on Henley but couldn\u2019t pull it off in time. Reid tried to assist Henley with a leverage cover but the referee spotted it. Bliss delivered Sister Abigail on Reid on the floor, and then Paxley landed Cemetery Drive on Henley and got the win.<\/p>\n<p><em>Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley defeated Fatal Influence at 8:02 to win the WWE Women\u2019s Tag Team Championships<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After the match, Bliss and Paxley celebrated as some pyro went off. Trick Williams and Bron Breakker is up next\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Take:<\/strong> A nice win for Paxley and Bliss, which assuredly add more friction to the ongoing friendship triangle with Charlotte Flair.<\/p>\n<p>Nikki Bella vs. Paige, and Damien Priest vs. R-Truth were advertised for next week\u2019s Smackdown. In the arena, Bron Breakker made his entrance, followed by Trick Williams.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Trick Williams vs. Bron Breakker:<\/strong> Trick was in control early and the match quickly went to the floor. Breaker returned fire slamming Trick into the commentary table. Breaker then returned to the apron and leapt on Williams, and both men spilled over the table\u2026[c]<\/p>\n<p>Breakker remained in control as the show returned, and shut down a comeback from Trick with a German Suplex. A double clothesline put both men on their backs, and then they traded punches as they got to their feet. Trick got the better of it and gyrated for the crowd, and then stomped on Breakker in the corner. He followed up with a cyclone boot, but Breakker avoided a Trick Shot and delivered a chestbreaker. Breakker hit the ropes for a high speed spear, but Trick caught him with a Trick Shot instead.<\/p>\n<p>This brought out Logan Paul and Austin Theory for an ambush, and the match was called off.<\/p>\n<p><em>The match ended in no contest at 6:34<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Penta and Je\u2019Von Evans were out quickly to combat The Vision. Bronson Reed eventually showed up and took out Evans, Penta, and Wiliams. Bron hit a spear, and then Reed delivered a Tsunami to Trick Williams to close the show.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Take:<\/strong> A fairly predictable chaos DQ to close the show. Trick vs. Bron will be a high profile match with an actual finish someday, but probably not in 2026.<\/p>\n<div id=\"prowr-3014595631\" class=\"prowr-after-content prowr-entity-placement\"
