McKenzie Mitchell was the ring announcer. Gia Miller was the backstage interviewer&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Elayna Black made her entrance. The Personal Concierge made his entrance to the stage. He said he couldn&#8217;t great any ladies and gentlemen in Canada due to ladies and gentlemen not existing in Canada, only a bunch of filthy pigs. The Concierge said the only lady in the building is Heather by Elegance. Heather by Elegance and Mr. Elegance made their entrance&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Elayna Black vs. Heather by Elegance (w\/The Personal Concierge, Mr. Elegance).<\/strong> Black dominated early on with holds and running strikes. Mr. Elegance distracted Black which allowed Heather to trip Black off the apron and get the upper hand. Heather worked on Elayna with methodical offense. Elayna used a Samoan Drop to escape an Octopus Hold.<\/p>\n<p>Elayna hit Heather with a few of her signature knees in the corner. Black got a nearfall after an Exploder Suplex. Heather gave Elayna&#8217;s arm a Pele Kick. Elayna avoided a dive in the corner and then hit Heather with a Blackout DDT for the win.<\/p>\n<p><em>Elayna Black defeated Heather by Elegance via pinfall in 5:26.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong><\/span> Quick cred boosting match for the newly turned Elayna Black. I keep bringing up this &#8220;youth movement&#8221; think, and I think you can add Elayna too that too with her much needed babyface turn to freshen up her character development. On the other side, I wonder when they&#8217;ll pull the trigger on the Heather and M breakup?<\/p>\n<p>Gia Miller interviewed TNA Tag Champ Ryan Nemeth. Ryan said he was the victim of a heinous attack last week. He said luckily for him, not only is &#8220;my big brother&#8221; Nic Nemeth an amazing double champion; but he&#8217;s also an amazing detective. Ryan said it&#8217;s simple and the culprit is Matt Hardy. Gia said Matt has denied any alligations and there is no evidence to support that claim. Ryan said he is sure even though he didn&#8217;t see or hear the culprit. Ryan then asked Gia to call him and Nic the greatest tag team family in TNA history. Gia refused&#8230;<\/p><div id=\"prowr-3583375392\" class=\"prowr-content-4 prowr-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: prowrestling_incontent_2 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"prowrestling_incontent_2\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"prowrestling_incontent_2\", slotId: \"prowrestling_incontent_2\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Hannifan hyped upcoming segments&#8230;[c]<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The SUIT&#8221; Daria Rae approached Jason Hotch backstage and told him to get ready for his upcoming match. Hotch wondered who it was against. Rae said Mustafa Ali recommended he face Agent Zero and that Mila Moore would be the guest referee. Hotch shook his head is disagreement&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles made their entrance for Kazarian&#8217;s King&#8217;s Speech talk show segment. Kazarian said he doesn&#8217;t have a guest lined up this week because this week&#8217;s King&#8217;s Speech is a coronation. Kazarian bragged about defeating Moose at Lockdown and how he&#8217;s the new face of the franchise. Frankie pulled away a cloth and revealed a crown on a stool. Frankie took the crown and said he was coronating himself as an official king.<\/p>\n<p>Frankie said unlike all the Canadians who love them some handouts, this crown is earned, and not a handout. Frankie told Avery that the Canadians are a bunch of marks with their free healthcare. Frankie said he earned the crown for being so good for so long. Frankie said he is the one true King of TNA. Moose made his entrance. Moose said Frankie looks ridiculous with his freakin&#8217; crown.<\/p>\n<p>Moose said the crown looks so cheap, that it looks like he bought it from the Dollar-rama. Moose said Frankie won at Lockdown, but he was lucky. Moose said Frankie didn&#8217;t pin or submit him, he just escaped him with Moose&#8217;s help. Moose said he thinks the word &#8220;bitch&#8221; when he sees that crown. Frankie said he sees through Moose&#8217;s politicking. Moose said that&#8217;s true.<\/p>\n<p>Moose said he doesn&#8217;t want a cage match, he wants a regular pinfall and submission victory match. Frankie said he doesn&#8217;t have to agree because he doesn&#8217;t have anything to gain. Frankie said he&#8217;ll give Moose his match with a huge &#8220;but&#8221; connected to it, due to Moose liking &#8220;big buts&#8221;. Kazarian said he&#8217;ll only wrestle Moose if Moose puts his career on the line. Moose agreed to the stipulation and said that Kazarian better bring the crown too. Kazarian said he&#8217;ll bring the crown to Moose&#8217;s funeral next week. Frankie&#8217;s entrance theme played to end the segment&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Hannifan hyped upcoming segments&#8230;[c]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong><\/span> A weird segment that dragged a bit. This felt like a drawn out and wordy segment to get to Moose putting his career on the line in a random match. They spent way too much time talking about Frankie&#8217;s cheap looking costume crown. It&#8217;s also very odd for them to just throw in that &#8220;career on the line&#8221; stip like it was nothing. You would usually build to stipulations like that. This was just tossed out there.<\/p>\n<p>Gia Miller interviewed Gabby Forza about wrestling for the Knockouts Title in only her second match on Impact. Gabby said she&#8217;s pumped up and going for the gold of all golds. She said she thought she would have to bulldoze through the entire roster to get a title shot, but she has &#8220;gnome luck&#8221; on her side with Daria Rae pushing her to the front of the line. Gabby said Gnome-body can say no to that. Gabby said she does it for all the gnomes. Gabby said gnomes love gold. Gia wished Gabby luck&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong> <\/span>Oh no. Oh hell no. Oh hell gnome? (Nawww, don&#8217;t drag me into those bad puns). So she&#8217;s a dork? This is my second exposure to this gnome thing and I&#8217;m not digging it? This is worse than when Kris Statlander thought she was an alien or whatever that was.<\/p><div id=\"prowr-4075509413\" class=\"prowr-content-5 prowr-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: prowrestling_incontent_3 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"prowrestling_incontent_3\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"prowrestling_incontent_3\", slotId: \"prowrestling_incontent_3\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Entrances for the next match took place. KC Navarro joined Tom and Matt on commentary&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Fabien Aichner vs. Rohit Raju to qualify for the X Division Championship Match at Bound for Glory.<\/strong> Aichner worked on Rohit with side headlocks and a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Raju had a bit of a rally after shoving Aichner into the steel steps. Aichner came back with a crossbody. Aichner caught Raju out of the air and hit him with a Senton and Moonsault combo.<\/p>\n<p>Raju kneed Aichner out of the air and hit him with a Twisting Flatliner for a nearfall. Raju hit Aichner with a Tornado DDT for a nearfall. Aichner caught Raju&#8217;s kick and took down Raju with a clothesline. Aichner hit Raju with a sitout Last Ride for the victory.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fabien Aichner defeated Rohit Raju via pinfall in 5:42 to qualify for the X Division Championship Match at Bound for Glory.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hannifan noted that Aichner has just pinned a former X Division Champion&#8230;[c]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong><\/span> While I would have liked to have seen more from Raju given how good he was during his first run with the company, I didn&#8217;t mind this being a good showcase for Aichner, especially if Raju&#8217;s only wrestling due to them being in Canada for the tapings (Though I wouldn&#8217;t mind if TNA re-signed Raju and his old tag team partner Rohan Raja. I also wouldn&#8217;t mind Rohan teaming with his NXT UK tag partner Charlie Dempsey). What I liked about this showcase is Aichner held back from doing his high flying moves and instead showcased some impressive power moves.<\/p>\n<p>A Zoey Serrano promo aired. She talked about growing up in San Bernadino, CA and later moving all over the country. She said the one constant in her life was turning on the TV and watching professional wrestling. She said wrestling gave her a home no matter where she was. She said she made her dream come true by going to wrestling school and traveling the world as a professional wrestler.<\/p>\n<p>Clips were shown of Zoey working for the Las Vegas based Future Stars of Wrestling promotion. Zoey talked about a leg injury that almost ended her career. She said she wondered what went wrong, but then it clicked that she wasn&#8217;t true to herself. She said she wanted to make everyone else happy. She said now in TNA she doesn&#8217;t need to shake her ass, get a viral video, none of that.<\/p>\n<p>She said she wants to show she&#8217;s the best business and nobody in this locker room can lace her boots. She said she&#8217;s the new face of the Knockouts Division, Zoey Serrano. The purest mentality&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong><\/span> A bit of an oddly edited promo, but I think I got what she was talking about. They made it look like she got her devastating injury coming out of FSW, but I think she was referencing the injury she got in the match against Kairi Sane in WWE? Could TNA not ask WWE for some Zoey Stark footage for the promo (At the same time, if it&#8217;s still a sore spot, I totally understand not wanting to rewalk that road). That said, I did like Zoey&#8217;s delivery here and look forward to her run in TNA.<\/p>\n<p>A split screen shot was shown of Jason Hotch and Order 4 heading to the ring&#8230;[c]<\/p>\n<p>Entrances for the next match took place. John Skyler joined Tom and Matt on commentary. Agent Zero attacked Jason Hotch before the bell. The referee rewarded Zero by ringing the bell&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>John&#8217;s Thoughts: I mean? I usually get annoyed at pro wrestling jump starts; but it kinda makes sense here with a heel referee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. &#8220;Top Notch&#8221; Jason Hotch vs. Agent Zero (w\/Tasha Steelz, John Skyler) with Mila Moore as the guest referee.<\/strong> Zero dominated the early match with methodical offense and power moves. John Skyler acted conflicted on commentary between his loyalty to Hotch and Ali. Hotch rallied back with chops and an enzuigiri. Mila gave Hotch a slow one count. Zero turned Hotch inside out and got a fast two count from the heel ref.<\/p>\n<p>Tasha complained to Mila about her bias. Hotch rallied with kicks, but Mila dragged him away to allow Zero to hit him with a headbutt. Hotch rallied with chops, a Tornado DDT, and a Frog Splash. Instead of count the pin, the heel ref was looking at her nails, claiming they were broken or something like that.<\/p>\n<p>Tasha Steelz entered the ring and gave Mila a beatdown. Tasha then ripped off Mila&#8217;s referee shirt to reveal her black bra. Mila then retreated to the back, using her arms to cover up her bra. Tasha put on the referee shirt and gave Hotch a quick three count.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jason Hotch defeated Agent Zero via pinfall in 6:35?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tom Hannifan said there is no way TNA will recognize that result as an official victory for Jason Hotch, and will likely throw away the result. McKenzie Mitchell announced Hotch as the winner&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong><\/span> While there were a lot of flying parts in the end, I actually thought they walked the fine line between logical and stupid? Hannifan talking about how there&#8217;s no way that the finish would stick added some good logic to the segment. I&#8217;m okay with the story they told here. Mustafa Ali tried to put Jason Hotch through a humiliation ritual, but all the good forces involved in this match turned the tables on Ali. One other thing I didn&#8217;t expect Mila Moore putting the T&amp;A back in TNA with her ode to pro wrestling bra and panties matches.<\/p>\n<p>It was time for the TNA Sponsored Injury report (Sponsored by AMC). Jeff Hardy is still &#8220;out&#8221; (of Canada). Ryan Nemeth is &#8220;cleared&#8221; after head trauma from getting attacked from behind. BDE&#8217;s whereabouts are &#8220;unknown&#8221; after he got kidnapped by Dutch and Vincent. Matt Hardy is &#8220;cleared&#8221;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Separate shots of Gabby Forza and Xia Brookside were shown&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Leon Slater met up with Matt Hardy to wish him luck. Leon said if Matt wins, he&#8217;ll look forward to facing Matt at Bound for Glory for the title. Leon also offered to keep Ryan Nemeth in check in the main event. Matt and Leon fist bumped. Leon then walked over and dapped up with Jason Hotch. Hotch thanked Slater for helping him get his head from out of his ass. Hotch wished Slater luck at Bound for Glory&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Gabby Forza made her &#8220;gnome&#8221; based entrance. Xia Brookside then made her entrance&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong><\/span> Ugh. If Gabby keeps this up, she might end up being my most hated wrestler in wrestling today (and I usually like cheesy comedy if done right! This is just booty butt bad). Xia! Can you please kick her ass? This match is borderline going to have me chanting &#8220;Whoop that trick&#8221; in favor of Xia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Xia Brookside vs. &#8220;The Gnomie&#8221; Gabby Forza for the TNA Knockouts Championship.<\/strong> Gabby dominated the match early on with power moves. Xia rallied back after raking the eyes of Gabby. Xia worked on Gabby with methodical offense. Gabby used her strength to block an Irish Whip. Gabby then hit Xia with an impressive Helicopter Samoan Drop. Gabby rallied with stiff clotheslines in the corners.<\/p>\n<p>Gabby caught Xia out of the air and hit her with a running power slam and Vader Bomb for a nearfall. Xia ducked to ringside and tried to take her title to the back, but Indi Hartwell walked out to send Xia back to the ring. Daria Rae walked out to bicker with Indi. While the referee was distracted with Indi and Daria, Xia hit Gabby Forza with a running belt shot for the win.<\/p>\n<p><em>Xia Brookside defeated Gabby Forza via pinfall in 5:42 to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Rehwoldt hyped upcoming segments&#8230;[c]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong><\/span> My joking aside, if Gabby finds a way to contextualize this gnome thing correctly, maybe I might turn on her for the positive. She is pretty good in the ring and I like her powerhouse offense. Anyways, this match served as moreso more development for Indi Hartwell and Daria Rae&#8217;s feud. I still wonder if this all leads to Daria back in the ring?<\/p>\n<p>Knockouts tag team champions Allie and Kiera Hogan were chatting backstage. Kiera noted that due to Kiera pinning M by Elegance at Lockdown in the tag team title match, Santino Marella granted her a title shot for M&#8217;s TV Title. Allie and Kiera were hyped up at the possibility of Kiera having two belts&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Elijah was in the ring with a guitar and lots of fog from a fog machine. As usual, he asked the crowd &#8220;Who wants to walk with Elijah&#8221; before singing a song. Elijah was about to sing a song about The System, but he was interrupted by Alisha Edwards&#8217;s &#8220;do you want to know something&#8221; catchphrase. The System made their entrance and said that the losers in the crowd don&#8217;t want to hear Elijah&#8217;s stupid song.<\/p>\n<p>Eddie said their last attack on Elijah was a warning, and their next attack will put Elijah down. Elijah said he&#8217;ll get up every time and keep on walking. Eddie said the System are the gatekeepers with a hitlist of people who don&#8217;t belong in the locker room. Eddie said Ricky Sosa is at the top of that list and Elijah might have his name next. Elijah said he&#8217;d be happy to sign up. Ricky Sosa ran out to join Elijah in the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Sosa said The System have been messing with him for weeks and now want to mess with his boy Elijah. Sosa challenged two of the System members against he and Elijah. Eddie accepted&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>A cinematic camera followed Matt Hardy as he was sitting down backstage drinking his Starbucks. Matt was recollecting recent events of them losing the titles and Jeff Hardy getting beat up backstage. Jeff Hardy&#8217;s alter ego Willow sat down with Matt backstage to give him advice.<\/p>\n<p>Matt said he&#8217;s motivated to avenge Jeff and he knows Nic and Ryan are the culprits that took out Jeff. Willow said some things that didn&#8217;t make sense, and then did a weird laugh. A producer entered the room and wondered why Matt was talking to himself (because Willow wasn&#8217;t there). Matt said he was just getting motivated&#8230;[c]<\/p>\n<p>Leon Slater was laid out on top of a forklift. The latest victim of the mystery attacker. Hannifan asked &#8220;could Ryan Nemeth be behind this?&#8221;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Entrances for the next match took place. The commentators noted that The Righteous have kidnapped BDE and have taken over his social media&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Rich Swann vs. Vincent (w\/Dutch).<\/strong> Rich Swann didn&#8217;t dance this time and instead decided to deliver hands to Vincent. Swann used his agility and aggression to maintain the initial advantage. Vincent was about to turn the tables after a distraction by Dutch. Swann used knee lifts to escape a backbreaker stretch. Vincent rallied back with a backdrop and strikes to the back.<\/p>\n<p>Swann fended off Vincent with boots and a rolling clotehsline. Swann kicked Dutch off the apron and hit him with a Phoenix Splash. Swann sent Dutch into the steel steps. Swann tried to hit Vincent with a flying kick, but Vincent did a sidestep to send Swann&#8217;s kick into the referee. REF BUMP!!! Vincent hit Swann with a twisting neckbreaker. The referee couldn&#8217;t count the pin because he was bumped.<\/p>\n<p>Vincent then ordered someone from the back to walk out. BDE walked out in white garb, acting like he was in a trance. BDE teased attacking Swann, but instead gave Vincent a cutter. Swann hit Vincent with a Phoenix Splash for the victory.<\/p>\n<p><em>Rich Swann defeated Vincent via pinfall in 5:19.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Separate shots of Matt Hardy and Nic Nemeth were shown heading into break&#8230;[c]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong><\/span> Okay TNA. That one got a chuckle out of me. Was about to groan, cringe, gripe about TNA doing a trance or brainwash story. We&#8217;ve seen stupidity like that in wrestling before. BDE&#8217;s bad acting was about to make it worse. But thank you for the swerve. That was fun.<\/p>\n<p>The following matches were advertised for next week&#8217;s Impact: M by Elegance vs. Kiera Hogan for the TNA Knockouts TV Championship, Elijah and Ricky Sosa vs. Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander, Zoey Serrano vs. Harley Hudson, and Moose vs. Frankie Kazarian with Moose&#8217;s career on the line.<\/p>\n<p>The commentators ran through a tale of the tape for the main event. Hannifan noted that this was the first time Matt faced Nic in a singles match in 16 years&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Matt Hardy made his entrance. His Matt Hardy fact of the week this week was &#8220;Matt&#8217;s first TV win was in the province of Ontario&#8221;. Nic Nemeth made his entrance. McKenzie Mitchell handled the formal in-ring championship match introductions&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. &#8220;The Wanted Man&#8221; Nic Nemeth vs. Matt Hardy in a No-DQ match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.<\/strong> After trading hands, Matt dumped Nic to ringside. Matt tried to bring a table into play, but Nic pushed it back. Matt dragged the table back out and gave Nic a DDT heading into break.[c]<\/p>\n<p>Matt and Nic were pretty even during the break. Back from break, Nic got a two count after a Superplex. Nic reversed a Twist of Fate and sent Matt into a chair in the corner. Nic hit Matt with a Fame Asser for a nearfall. Matt got a moment of respite after dodging a Stinger Splash. Matt hit Nic with his signature Delete headbashes in the corners. Nic reversed a Twist of Fate with a Superkick.<\/p>\n<p>Matt tossed Nic into a table in the corner, butt the table didn&#8217;t break (&#8220;I am the Table&#8221; moment). Matt picked up Nic and tossed him into it. Matt gave Nic a Twist of Fate with a chair wrapped around Nic&#8217;s neck. Matt had the visual pinfall, but Ryan ran out and dragged the referee to ringside. Matt gave Ryan a Twist of Fate. Matt gave Nic a Twist of Fate. Nic got a foot on the bottom rope for the rope break.<\/p>\n<p>Matt put Ryan on a table and gave him an elbow drop through it. Back in the ring, Nic got a nearfall after giving Matt a low blow. Nic grabbed a wrench from under the ring. Matt gave Nic a low blow for his own nearfall. Matt went for a Twist of Fate, but Nic escaped and clobbered Matt in the face with a wrench for the pinfall win.<\/p>\n<p><em>Nic Nemeth defeated Matt Hardy via pinfall in 13:18 to retain the TNA World Championship.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>TNA President Carlos Silva handed Nic Nemeth his title belt. Nic Nemeth celebrated his title defense to close the show&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>John&#8217;s Thoughts:<\/strong><\/span> I feel like Matt has had a few funny &#8220;I am the table&#8221; moments in recent matches where the table won&#8217;t break. I just chalk it up to bad luck due to Matt and Nic being absolute pros in the business. As far as this whole big picture, I have mixed thoughts. A well wrestled match between two pros. Some good believable nearfalls in there as Nic Nemeth is the king of good believable nearfalls. Not sure if having Matt Hardy get the visual pinfall helps build up Nic heading into Bound for Glory.<\/p>\n<p>Again, putting the tag titles on Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth at this point in time is a odd decision, and TNA continues to dig deeper into that odd situation by having Nic and Ryan feud with Matt and Jeff Hardy in a tag team side story instead of having Nic Nemeth work a program against his Bound for Glory challenger Leon Slater. Maybe Slater getting laid out backstage will tie it together? Again, on the top of my list for the whodunit reveal is Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy. The backstage attacks play into Dexter&#8217;s MO. They might tie it in to Bray Wyatt because Matt Hardy and Bray had a credible run together? We&#8217;ll see? It could be Uhaa Nation outta nowhere (where did he go?). Anyways, an in-the-middle episode for me.
