They plugged the All In pay-per-view&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Will Ospreay made his entrance and was introduced by ring announcer Arkady Aura. The fans sang Ospreay&#8217;s name. He thanked them and said it had been a year since they talked. He said he started his career in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>Ospreay talked about showing people that the UK is where the best wrestle. He listed some of the British greats that he learned from and mentioned the names of some British wrestlers who are no longer with us.<\/p>\n<p>Ospreay said AEW World Champion Kenny Omega wasn&#8217;t at the show, which drew some boos. He spoke about Omega being the best for a decade, then said all of his respect for Omega disappeared when Omega mentioned his son. Ospreay said there is a debt he needs to pay to his parents, his wife, and his son. &#8220;It&#8217;s time to bring it home,&#8221; Ospreay said.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> This wasn&#8217;t a particularly memorable promo, but it was good to hear the challenger speak confidently going into the AEW World Championship match. It was a good change from last week when he said he liked Nigel McGuinness&#8217;s chances of winning more than he liked his own.<\/p>\n<p>Jon Moxley made his entrance through the crowd for the first Continental Cup semifinal match. Claudio Castagnoli did his circle dance with the other Death Riders before making his entrance through the crowd. Renee Paquette spoke briefly about the match from ringside&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Jon Moxley vs. Claudio Castagnoli in a Continental Challenge Cup tournament semifinal match. <\/strong>Schiavone noted that there was no time limit for the match. Both wrestlers ended up on the floor, where Moxley applied a Figure Four. Castagnoli came right back with a Giant Swing that sent Moxley into the barricade before a picture-in-picture break. [C]<\/p>\n<p>Moxley and Castagnoli traded sleeper holds. Moxley transitioned into a crossarmbreaker, but Castagnoli blocked it. Castagnoli performed another Giant Swing. Castagnoli went for a Sharpshooter, but Moxley caught him in an inside cradle for a near fall.<\/p><div id=\"prowr-1429427973\" class=\"prowr-content-4 prowr-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: prowrestling_incontent_2 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"prowrestling_incontent_2\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"prowrestling_incontent_2\", slotId: \"prowrestling_incontent_2\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Castagnoli ran across the ring and hit Moxley with an uppercut, which sent Moxley to the floor. Moxley returned to the ring at the referee&#8217;s nine count, and Castagnoli immediately hit him with a Stomp. Castagnoli followed up with a Neutralizer for a near fall.<\/p>\n<p>Castagnoli removed his elbow sleeve and went for an uppercut, but Moxley dropped to his back to avoid it. Moments later, Moxley kicked Castagnoli and put him down with a Paradigm Shift before covering him for a one count. Moxley hit a Stomp and a Death Rider for a near fall. Moxley applied the bulldog choke until Castagnoli faded and the referee called for the bell&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>Jon Moxley beat Claudio Castagnoli in 15:55 to advance to the finals of the Continental Challenge Cup tournament.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Excalibur hyped a trios match for after the break&#8230; [C]<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/span><\/strong> A good match, but it still fell a bit below my admittedly high expectations. Moxley felt like the heavy favorite, and they didn&#8217;t create any suspenseful moments to sell me on the possibility of Castagnoli winning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Adam Copeland and &#8220;The Young Bucks&#8221; Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson vs. Brian Cage, Jake Doyle, and Rocky Romero.<\/strong> The entrances for both teams were televised. Nick went on one of his signature offensive runs, but Cage caught him when he went for a moonsault off the apron. Cage dumped Nick on the apron before a PIP break. [C]<\/p>\n<p>There was a comical spot where Romero took the Bucks down with a double huracanrana. Romero looked into a camera and then ran toward it and slid on his knees. The Bucks superkicked Romero from behind. The Bucks took out Doyle and Cage on the floor, and then Copeland speared and pinned Romero.<\/p>\n<p><em>Adam Copeland and &#8220;The Young Bucks&#8221; Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson defeated Brian Cage, Jake Doyle, and Rocky Romero in roughly 9:00.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Afterward, Christian Cage made his entrance dressed in non-wrestling attire. Christian spoke as he walked toward the ring, telling the Bucks that he doesn&#8217;t associate with people who are beneath him. Cage said that&#8217;s exactly what the Bucks are when it comes to being a tag team.<\/p>\n<p>Christian said the Bucks have been influential, but there&#8217;s a difference between that and being legends like he and Copeland are. Christian entered the ring and said that some people are calling the tag team title match a dream match, but it&#8217;s just another day at the office for him. Christian said the Bucks would find out the difference between influence and legendary.<\/p><div id=\"prowr-1216452981\" class=\"prowr-content-5 prowr-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: prowrestling_incontent_3 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"prowrestling_incontent_3\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"prowrestling_incontent_3\", slotId: \"prowrestling_incontent_3\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Matt asked if he&#8217;d ever had a company named after him, which was in response to Christian boasting about having pay-per-views named after him and Copeland. Matt said they accidentally superkicked Christian last week. He said that if Christian keeps talking down to them, it won&#8217;t be an accident this time. Christian got in Matt&#8217;s face and then kicked him in the balls. Nick superkicked Christian. Copeland speared Nick, but wasn&#8217;t happy about it afterward&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> Copeland&#8217;s character could have avoided all of this had he declined to team with the Young Bucks again. Anyway, the match was fine, and the post-match angle added to the tension between the teams.<\/p>\n<p>Excalibur hyped some of the remaining matches and segments&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Willow Nightingale&#8217;s entrance theme played, but she didn&#8217;t come out. They cut backstage, where Mercedes Mone had Willow down and slammed a chair over her left hand&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> I&#8217;ve praised Mone for ditching the CEO dance and her laugh during her recent promos. Unfortunately, she broke out the laugh twice during this brief segment.<\/p>\n<p>Renee Paquette interviewed Don Callis and Mark Davis on the backstage interview set. Callis said he was back from Croatia. Callis played up the possibility of Davis&#8217;s number being called in the Casino Gauntlet and bringing the AEW World Championship back to the Callis Family&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Andrade El Idolo&#8217;s entrance theme played, but he didn&#8217;t come out. MJF&#8217;s entrance theme played, and he walked out with a microphone in his hand and his Triple B title belt around his waist. MJF spoke about how he could do what Andrade does, including taking a photo with a hot woman, but he said finding a hot woman in Scotland is pretty much impossible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[Hour Two]<\/strong> MJF found a woman in the crowd and said she&#8217;d be a four in the United States, but she&#8217;s a ten in Scotland. MJF said she&#8217;d do. MJF told the fans he had one question. Andrade El Idolo showed up, stood next to the woman in the crowd, and asked, &#8220;How you know?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Andrade slammed his microphone over MJF&#8217;s head. Andrade hopped the barricade and roughed up MJF in the ring for a few seconds before MJF slipped away and headed up the ramp. MJF stood on the stage and held up his title belt, and then Andrade stood in the ring and held up his AEW National Championship belt&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/span><\/strong> Yes, you both have title belts that most people don&#8217;t care about. Anyway, Andrade got the better of MJF briefly, but they wisely left viewers wanting more.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Jericho stood on the backstage interview set and yelled, &#8220;Hello, Scotland.&#8221; Jericho said he is entering the Casino Gauntlet match because he wants to be AEW World Champion again. Jericho added that he will team with Mike Bailey and Komander for a trios match against Tommaso Ciampa, Nick Wayne, and Mark Davis on Saturday&#8217;s Collision&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Nigel McGuinness vs. Kyle O\u2019Reilly in a Continental Challenge Cup tournament semifinal match.<\/strong> Both entrances were televised, and Renee Paquette spoke briefly. McGuinness sold his bad ankle, which O&#8217;Reilly targeted. O&#8217;Reilly had McGuinness down on the floor before a PIP break. [C]<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Reilly caught McGuinness&#8217;s bad ankle in a submission hold, but McGuinness reached the bottom rope to break it. McGuinness fired back with a Jawbreaker Lariat for a near fall. McGuinness applied the London Dungeon submission hold and forced O&#8217;Reilly to tap out.<\/p>\n<p><em>Nigel McGuinness beat Kyle O\u2019Reilly in roughly 12:00 to advance to the finals of the Continental Challenge Cup tournament.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A graphic listed Jon Moxley vs. Nigel McGuinness in the tournament finals at All In. O&#8217;Reilly raised McGuinness&#8217;s hand afterward&#8230; [C]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> A predictable tournament on WWE Raw and another predictable tournament on AEW television. Oddly enough, I think Nigel&#8217;s ankle injury made him advancing to the finals feel even more likely. Nevertheless, I&#8217;m looking forward to Moxley vs. McGuinness in a battle of Les Thatcher&#8217;s pupils on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Renee Paquette interviewed AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis on the backstage interview set. Paquette asked Callis about the issues between Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada. Callis said there&#8217;s always competition amongst alpha athletes, but the thing he expects from his family members is that they run the play that&#8217;s called. Fletcher said he is willing to run the play at All In, but he wondered if Okada would.<\/p>\n<p>Kazuchika Okada walked onto the interview set and said the most important thing is family. Okada told Fletcher that he could trust him. Fletcher recalled being jumped from behind by Konosuke Takeshita last week and said Okada was nowhere to be found. Okada said Fletcher is always thinking about himself. &#8220;Family, Kyle, family,&#8221; Okada said before walking away&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Maya World, Alex Windsor, and Jamie Hayter vs. Persephone, Megan Bayne, and Lena Kross.<\/strong> The entrances were televised. Windsor and Hayter held Persephone down on the mat while World performed a moonsault. Hayter covered Persephone for a two count before a PIP break. [C]<\/p>\n<p>Late in the match, Persephone put World down with a clothesline. Persephone came right back with a springboard into a Stunner. World had Persephone pinned, but Bayne and Kross pulled her to the floor. Windsor and Hayter fought Bayne and Kross on the floor, which distracted the referee for no good reason. Persephone hit World with a title belt while the referee wasn&#8217;t looking. Persephone went up top and performed a frog splash on World before pinning her.<\/p>\n<p><em>Persephone, Megan Bayne, and Lena Kross defeated Maya World, Alex Windsor, and Jamie Hayter in roughly 11:00.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Afterward, Windsor and Hayter fought Bayne and Kross to the back. Persephone picked up her CMLL Women&#8217;s Championship and then picked up World&#8217;s TBS Championship belt and kissed it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> I assume this means Persephone will challenge World for the TBS Title on the All In pre-show. On a side note, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/WrestleTix\">WrestleTix<\/a> listed the venue as being set up for 6,780, with 6,387 tickets distributed. The total number of seats on the map is 10,762. The last time AEW ran the venue, 7,750 tickets were distributed for the August 20, 2025, edition of Dynamite.<\/p>\n<p>A video package aired on Kevin Knight and Darby Allin&#8217;s angle from last week, which resulted in pyro shooting off while Allin was on the stage. They also showed footage of Steven Borden checking on Darby. A graphic listed that Knight will speak on Saturday&#8217;s Collision&#8230; [C]<\/p>\n<p>Entrances for the main event took place&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Swerve Strickland (w\/Prince Nana) vs. Jack Perry.<\/strong> Swerve put Perry down with a shoulder block and then squatted and talked shit until Perry poked his eyes. Perry knocked Swerve down and then flexed while standing over him. A short time later, Perry jumped off the ropes and went for a huracanrana on Swerve, who was on the apron, but Swerve caught him and swung him into the ring post before a PIP break. [C]<\/p>\n<p>Perry performed Sliced Bread No. 2 on the floor. Perry hit Swerve with two suicide dives and then followed up with a flip dive. Perry went up top and hit Swerve with a moonsault on the floor. An &#8220;AEW&#8221; chant broke out briefly.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Perry performed a huracanrana and hooked Swerve into a pin for a near fall. Perry jumped backwards off the ropes, but Swerve caught him. Swerve hit Big Pressure and scored the clean pin.<\/p>\n<p><i>Swerve Strickland defeated Jack Perry in roughly 12:00.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Afterward, Swerve and Perry bumped fists&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Graphics listed the following matches and events for Saturday&#8217;s Collision: Chris Jericho, Mike Bailey, and Komander vs. Tommaso Ciampa, Nick Wayne, and Mark Davis in a trios match, Mercedes Mone vs. Isla Dawn, TNT Champion Kevin Knight speaks, and Konosuke Takeshita vs. The Beast Mortos&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>A video package aired on Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay to hype their AEW World Championship match for All In London&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Powell&#8217;s POV:<\/strong><\/span> The show actually ended about a minute after the top of the hour. The main event was good, and the right guy went over, but it was laid out for Perry to put up a fight and look good in defeat. The video package was fine, but I didn&#8217;t find it to be particularly memorable.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, I hoped for a stronger Dynamite go-home show. Perhaps the live crowd felt the same way. I expected a hot UK crowd. They were into the show, but there was nothing special about the atmosphere. It&#8217;s disappointing that AEW World Champion Kenny Omega wasn&#8217;t there for a final segment with Will Ospreay heading into AEW&#8217;s biggest annual event.
