Mina Yamashita and Queen Aminata vs. Viva Van and Vert Vixen.<\/b>\u00a0Vert and Mina opened, and they traded quick reversals. Of course, Mina paused to suggestively shake her body. And they bumped chests. Ian quipped that his wife, Sara, was watching. Viva and Aminata got in, and they also bumped chest-to-chest. &#8220;I&#8217;m going to let you call that one,&#8221; Ian said to Caprice. Viva suggestively shook her body, so Caprice had to say they were going &#8220;tit for tat.&#8221; Viva rammed Aminata&#8217;s face into Viva&#8217;s butt. Aminata did the same to Viva.<\/p>\n<p>Mina and Aminata began working over Viva. Vert got in and hit a snap suplex on Mina at 5:00. Vert tied Mina in the Tree of Woe and hit a sliding kick to Mina&#8217;s face. She hit a Helluva Kick and another suplex for a nearfall. Mina spun Vert to the mat. Aminata got the hot tag at 6:30, and she hit a pumphandle swinging neckbreaker on Vert. Mina hit a spinning back fist. Aminata hit a top-rope double stomp on Van for a nearfall.<\/p>\n<p>Mina hit a discus forearm to drop Van. Mina and Vert hit stereo spin kicks to the head, and suddenly all four were down at 8:30.\u00a0Mina hit a Sling Blade clothesline on Vert, but Vert\u00a0hit her\u00a0Blue Thunder Bomb on Mina for a nearfall. Van hit a top-rope missile dropkick. Van and Aminata fought on the floor. Vert and Mina fought on the top rope. Mina hit a top-rope diving tornado DDT on Vert for the pin! Good action.<\/p>\n<p><i>Mina Yamashita and Queen Aminata defeated Viva Van and Vert Vixen at 10:03.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>* Backstage, Maya World noted she has competed on ROH supershows before, and now she&#8217;s the TBS champion. She has her eyes on Willow Nightingale on Saturday!<\/p>\n<p><b>2. Adam Brooks vs. El Phantasmo.<\/b> Ian reiterated the story of how Brooks signed with ROH at the end of 2019, but then the pandemic happened, and Brooks wasn&#8217;t able to compete here for several years. ELP hit a shoulder tackle. They traded rollups. Ian noted they are just blocks away from the Murphy Rec Center (where the first-ever ROH show was held!) They got up, shook hands, and traded forearm strikes. Ian and Caprice listed off all of ELP&#8217;s titles in NJPW. ELP hit a springboard huracanrana at 2:30.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks hit a suplex into the turnbuckles and got a nearfall. He hit a basement dropkick for a nearfall, and he was in charge. He dropped ELP gut-first across the top rope, then hit a flying knee to ELP&#8217;s head at 4:30. He dove through the ropes onto ELP.\u00a0 Brooks hit a running powerbomb for a nearfall. ELP hit a springboard crossbody block and a Lionsault for a nearfall at 6:00. He put Brooks on his shoulders and hit an airplane spin-into-a-stunner for a believable nearfall at 8:30. ELP hit a top-rope crossbody block, then the Thunderkiss 86 frog splash for the pin. A really fun match that could have gone either way.<\/p>\n<p><i>ELP defeated Adam Brooks at 8:48.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>3. AR Fox vs. Soleil vs. Komander.\u00a0<\/b>Again, Soleil was\u00a0<i>Reggie<\/i>\u00a0in WWE. Fox hit an enzuigiri on Komander. He hit a double stomp on Soleil on the apron, then a flip dive to the floor on Komander. Nice sequence! In the ring, Soleil nailed a Meteora on Fox. Komander hit a dropkick on Soleil at 2:00. Fox hit a dive over the top rope onto Soleil. Soleil dove through the ropes onto Komander. Komander hit a springboard moonsault to the floor on Fox at 3:30. In the ring, Komander missed his springboard Shooting Star Press.<\/p>\n<p>Fox hit a twisting suplex on Soleil for a nearfall. Komander and Fox got up and traded forearm strikes, and Komander hit a DDT for a nearfall at 5:00. Soleil hit a twisting crossbody block. Komander hit a Poison Rana.\u00a0 (Ian showed his age with a Bell Biv Devo reference!) Fox hit some quick kicks on Soleil. Soleil hit his double backflip-into-a-stunner on Fox! However, Komander hit the springboard Shooting Star Press for the pin on Soleil. Fox made it clear to Komander he wants a one-on-one match, as Fox wasn&#8217;t pinned.<\/p>\n<p><i>Komander defeated Soleil and AR Fox at 6:36.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>*\u00a0<b>Rocky Romero and Trent Berretta<\/b>\u00a0joined Ian and Caprice on commentary. They immediately assured Ian and Caprice that everything is fine in the Don Callis Family. Nothing to see here!<\/p>\n<p><b>4. Brian Cage and Hechicero vs.\u00a0&#8220;Bustah and The Brain&#8221; Alec Price and Jordan Oliver.<\/b> Oliver and Hechicero opened. Rocky marveled that Jordan is only getting bigger, and Ian made a &#8220;Backseat Boyz&#8221; reference. (Jordan has always looked up to the late Trent Acid and has named some of his moves after him.)\u00a0Price hit a dive over the top rope to the floor on Cage at 2:00. In the ring, Hechicero snapped Jordan&#8217;s left arm. Cage backed Jordan into a corner and caved in Oliver&#8217;s chest with a LOUD chop. Hechicero got in and hit his own hard chop!<\/p>\n<p>Jordan fired back with a chop on Hechicero.\u00a0Cage hit a bodyslam on Oliver at 4:00. Price hit a top-rope crossbody block. He hit a pop-up dropkick on Cage, then his springboard Blockbuster on Hechicero for a nearfall. Oliver and Cage traded more chops. Oliver nailed a superkick and a dropkick, then a German Suplex for a nearfall at 5:30. The crowd chanted for\u00a0&#8220;Bustah!\u00a0Bustah! Bustah and the Brain!&#8221;\u00a0Price hit a frog splash on Cage for a nearfall.<\/p>\n<p>Bustah and The Brain set up for the team Styles Clash, but Cage fought free. Cage hit a Flatliner on Price for a nearfall. Oliver hit an Acid Kick on Cage. Cage hit a pop-up powerbomb on Price. He threw Alec over the top rope onto Oliver on the floor! Back in the ring, Cage hit a second-rope deadlift suplex on Price. Hechicero hit his headscissors takedown on Price, planting the top of Alec&#8217;s head into the mat to score the pin. Dalton Castle and &#8220;The Outrunners&#8221; Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum vs. &#8220;Lethal Swirl&#8221; Jay Lethal and Blake Christian and Lee Johnson for the ROH Six-Man Titles.<\/b> Ian reminded us that Dalton Castle lost the ROH Title to Lethal in 2018. Lee and Magnum opened, but just seconds in, all six were brawling. Ian said two refs should be used for six-man matches. The babyfaces cleared the ring and celebrated. The Outrunners teased a dive, but of course, they stepped through the ropes and leapt off the apron onto The Swirl. In the ring, the babyfaces took turns punching Lee.<\/p>\n<p>Magnum hit a flying headscissors takedown on Lethal. Blake hit a springboard clothesline at 4:00. The heels began working over Truth in their corner. Floyd was yanked off the apron at 6:00, so he couldn&#8217;t tag in. Jay twisted Magnum&#8217;s fingers. Blake hit a basement dropkick for a nearfall. Lethal entered and did a Fargo Strut, but Truth hit a suplex at 9:30, and they were both down. Lethal went for a Figure Four, but Truth kicked free. Dalton got a hot tag, and he began suplexing each of the heels. Jay went for the Lethal Injection, but Dalton caught him and hit a German Suplex at 11:00.<\/p>\n<p>Dalton bodyslammed Lethal. Blake snatched away the title belt from around Turbo&#8217;s waist! He hasn&#8217;t removed that in 90+ days! Blake hit a Triangle Moonsault to the floor. Lee hit a frog splash.\u00a0<i>Christian slipped while coming off the top rope and hurt his ankle upon landing.<\/i> Not sure if that was an intended slip, but he&#8217;s selling the heck out of the injury.\u00a0Jay nailed the Lethal Injection on Dalton. Blake hit a springboard flying forearm but was limping. He got a rollup, reached through the ropes and grabbed Lee&#8217;s arms for added leverage and stole a pin! New champions! It&#8217;s still unclear if Blake is legitimately injured.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u00a0&#8220;Lethal Swirl&#8221; Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson defeated\u00a0Dalton Castle and &#8220;The Outrunners&#8221; Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum to win\u00a0the ROH Six-Man Titles at 14:03.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>* Lexy Nair interviewed\u00a0<b>Matthew Taven, Michael Bennett, Sammy Guevara<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Beast Mortos<\/b>\u00a0backstage. AI has told the Kingdom to use their full first names (so he&#8217;s Michael, not Mike). Taven convinced Mortos and &#8220;Samuel&#8221; Guevara to work with them!<\/p>\n<p><b>2. Deonna Purrazzo vs. Steph De Lander for the ROH Pure Title.<\/b> The Pure Rules were read out loud.\u00a0We have a countdown clock, starting at 60 minutes. Good to see Deonna walking without any issues after suffering an injury at an ROH taping two months ago. The taller SDL easily backed Deonna into the corner at the bell. The crowd chanted, &#8220;Virtuosa!&#8221; SDL!&#8221; They went to the mat with Deonna tying up the left arm, and she stomped on the elbow at 1:30. She pushed SDL against the ropes, and the\u00a0<i>ref ruled Steph used her first rope break<\/i>!<\/p>\n<p>They went to the floor, and Steph slammed Deonna&#8217;s face on the apron. Back in the ring, Steph got a nearfall and hit a sidewalk slam for a nearfall at 3:00. Deonna pushed SDL into the ropes, and the\u00a0<i>ref ruled that was Steph&#8217;s second rope break<\/i>! Steph applied a rear chinlock. Steph clocked her with a punch and was issued a warning at 4:30. Deonna hit a Russian leg sweep and immediately tied her in a Fujiwara Armbar!\u00a0<i>Steph used her final rope break at 5:30<\/i>! Meanwhile, Deonna has all three rope breaks left.\u00a0Steph hit a running boot in the corner and a suplex for a nearfall.<\/p>\n<p>They got up and traded forearm strikes. Steph hit a punch to the jaw when the ref was out of position, then a TKO stunner for a nearfall, but\u00a0<i>Deonna used her first rope break\u00a0<\/i>at 7:30. Steph grabbed a chair, swung, and it struck her in the face! Deonna hit a punch and a Tiger Driver for a nearfall. Deonna again applied the Fujiwara Armbar and turned it into the Venus de Milo double armbar. Steph held on for a few seconds before she verbally submitted.\u00a0Good action. Deonna has been such a great champion; these rules are perfectly\u00a0suited for her.<\/p>\n<p><i>Deonna Purrazzo defeated Steph De Lander to retain the ROH Pure Title at 8:47.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>3) Red Velvet vs. Marina Shafir (w\/Jon Moxley) vs. Zayda Steel (w\/Christopher Daniels) vs. Skye Blue for the ROH Women&#8217;s TV Title.<\/b>\u00a0Skye wore the Artist of Stardom title belt from Japan. The crowd POPPED for Moxley accompanying Shafir to the ring.\u00a0<i>Moxley sat\u00a0down and joined Caprice and Ian on commentary.<\/i> Velvet hit a stunner on Shafir across the top rope. We suddenly had just Velvet and Zayda in the ring. They shook hands and traded rollups. They blocked each other&#8217;s armdrags at 1:30. Zayda hit a Lungblower to the chest for a nearfall.<\/p>\n<p>Moxley said Zayda &#8220;isn&#8217;t the biggest knife in the drawer, but she sure is sharp.&#8221; Skye got in and traded rollups with Red Velvet. Marina grabbed Velvet and tossed her around. They stood toe-to-toe and traded punches. Moxley said Shafir is &#8220;the baddest bitch in the game.&#8221; Velvet clocked her at 3:30 with a loud punch. Shafir dropped Velvet with a spin kick. Skye tried a backslide on Marina, and Moxley shouted, &#8220;You sneaky bitch!&#8221; Funny. Marina hit a double-arm DDT on Skye. Zayda threw Marina to the floor, and Steel traded blows with Skye.<\/p>\n<p>On the floor, Marina threw Steel onto the commentary table, with Zayda landing in Jon&#8217;s lap. &#8220;My hands are up here! I&#8217;m not a creeper,&#8221; Jon said. In the ring,\u00a0 Zayda jumped on Shafir&#8217;s back and tried a sleeper. Zayda hit a tornado DDT on Marina at 7:00. She dove through the ropes onto Marina. They did a Tower of Doom spot out of the corner, with Marina on the bottom of the tower, and she tried covers on Zayda, then on Blue. Skye hit some forearm strikes on Marina. Red Velvet hit a Poetry In Motion on Marina. However, Marina powerbombed Skye onto Blue for a nearfall, but Zayda made the save, and they were all down at 9:30.<\/p>\n<p>Zayda tied Velvet in a half-crab, but Skye struck Zayda with a title belt! Marina applied a choke on Skye, but Blue struck Shafir with the title belt. Shafir got a rollup on Blue and applied an ankle lock and dropped to the mat for added pressure. However, Red Velvet hit a frog splash on Shafir (while the leg bar was still locked on) and Velvet pinned Shafir. Moxley said Marina might not have realized she was getting covered.\u00a0That was a well-produced match.<\/p>\n<p><i>Red Velvet defeated Marina Shafir, Zayda Steel, and Skye Blue to retain the ROH Women&#8217;s TV Title at 10:53.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>* The video aired where Nigel McGuinness withdrew from his match due to his leg injury. Footage then aired of Katsuyori Shibata winning his match Thursday to take Nigel&#8217;s spot.<\/p>\n<p><b>4. Lee Moriarty vs. Katsuyori Shibata for the ROH Pure Title.<\/b> Caprice reiterated that Shibata is 2-0 in singles matches against Moriarty. Shane Taylor Promotions came out of the back with Lee, but they stayed on the stage and didn&#8217;t accompany him to ringside. We again have the countdown clock on the bottom of the screen, starting at 60 minutes. (They didn&#8217;t read the Pure Rules again.) Shibata immediately tied up the left arm and switched to a leg hold.\u00a0<i>Lee used a rope break at 1:30<\/i>! Ian said it might be the quickest that Lee has ever used a rope break.<\/p>\n<p>Lee hit a snap suplex for a nearfall at 3:00. Shibata shook hands, but then kicked Lee in the gut and got booed! He threw Lee into the ropes and applied a Figure Four at 4:30.\u00a0<i>Lee used a second rope break<\/i>! They got up and Lee hit a series of chops. Shibata kicked out the left thigh and knee. Lee hit a dropkick but sold the pain in his knee upon landing, and they were both down. The crowd chanted, &#8220;Taiga Style!&#8221;\u00a0Lee tied him up on the mat in a Border City Stretch.<\/p>\n<p>Shibata hit a DDT onto the ring apron, and they both fell to the floor at 8:00.\u00a0Back in the ring, Shibata went back to a Figure Four leg lock, and\u00a0<i>Lee used his final rope break at 9:30<\/i>! Shibata hit a basement dropkick in the corner; he still has all three rope breaks! He hit a suplex for a nearfall. He hit a LOUD back chop! They took turns hitting Pump Kicks, but Lee hit a Nigel-style Rebound Lariat for a nearfall at 11:30.\u00a0Lee went back to a Border City Stretch, but Shibata escaped and\u00a0tied in\u00a0a rear-naked choke.<\/p>\n<p>Lee got to the ropes and shrugged Shibata to the floor.\u00a0Lee then dove through the ropes. Lee slipped on a springboard move, which got a &#8220;You f&#8212;ed up!&#8221; from some disrespectful &#8220;fans.&#8221;\u00a0They traded rollups, and Lee applied a rear-naked choke. Shibata escaped and\u00a0tied in a sleeper,\u00a0but Lee got a rollup. He leaned back for added pressure and scored the pin! A fantastic final stretch, even with Lee&#8217;s slip off the ropes.<\/p>\n<p><i>Lee Moriarity defeated Katsuyori Shibata to retain the ROH Pure Title at 13:15.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>* Backstage,\u00a0<b>John Silver<\/b>\u00a0was arguing with\u00a0<b>Evil Uno<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Alex Reynolds<\/b>. Silver has been clear that he is not welcoming\u00a0<b>Preston Vance<\/b>\u00a0back into the Dark Order. Preston walked up and tried to talk to John, but Silver shouted, &#8220;I don&#8217;t like you, and I don&#8217;t trust you,&#8221; and he stormed off. Reynolds was hopeful that Silver would cool off.<\/p>\n<p><b>5. Mistico and Mascara Dorada vs.\u00a0Sammy Guevara and Beast Mortos vs. &#8220;The Computerized Kingdom&#8221; Matthew Taven and Michael Bennett vs. &#8220;Top Flight&#8221; Dante Martin and Darius Martin (w\/Christopher Daniels) for the ROH Tag Team Titles.<\/b> Ian noted that Top Flight is the only team in this match that hasn&#8217;t held these belts. Dorada was in gold-and-teal colors tonight.\u00a0Top Flight and the Kingdom immediately brawled on the floor. Top Flight hit stereo planchas.\u00a0<i>We got the bell at 00:57 to officially begin<\/i>! In the ring, Dante hit a slingshot senton and a standing moonsault for a nearfall.<\/p>\n<p>The Kingdom duo were &#8220;consulting their phone&#8221; and an AI &#8220;Sparta&#8221; on what moves to do next (<i>Eye roll<\/i>). Taven tagged in Mortos (because Sparta told them to). Sammy tagged in at 3:30 and was booed. Sammy tagged Mortos right back in &#8212; for loud cheers!\u00a0Mortos tagged Sammy back in &#8212; for loud boos! Darius hit some punches on Sammy to end the silliness. Darius hit a dropkick. Sammy tagged in Mistico at 5:30. Darius and Mistico traded lucha rolls, and Mistico hit a crossbody block and a deep armdrag.<\/p>\n<p>Dorada and Dante traded lucha offense. They both did some flips and landed on their feet. Dorada and Mistico hit stereo planchas onto the Kingdom. In the ring, Mortos hit a double shoulder tackle on Top Flight, then he hit his twisting dove through the ropes onto four guys. Sammy hit a DDT. He hit a top-rope Shooting Star Press onto several guys on the floor at 9:00 but got a &#8220;You still suck!&#8221; chant. In the ring, Mortos hit a spike bulldog on Darius, then a backbreaker over his knee and a hard clothesline for a nearfall. Taven hit a running knee on Dante for a nearfall. Matt popped Darius up, and Bennett punched Darius.<\/p>\n<p>Bennett grabbed his phone&#8230; but he lost service and didn&#8217;t know what to do! Meanwhile, Sammy hit a stunner on Dante. Mortos hit a pop-up Samoan Drop on Dante for a believable nearfall at 11:30. Taven missed a Lionsault. Mistico tagged back in and hit a hard back elbow on Taven, then a top-rope crossbody block. Dorada and Bennett traded quick offense, and Dorada hit a springboard armdrag. Mistico hit a huracanrana on Sammy. Dorada leapt off the ropes, but Mortos nailed him with a headbutt at 14:00!<\/p>\n<p>Mistico and Mortos fought on the top rope; Mortos flipped him to the mat and got a nearfall. Ian noted the heat in the building has made the ropes slippery tonight. Bennett and Guevara stomped on Dorada on the floor. Taven dove over the top rope onto several guys at 16:00! Taven hit the Just The Tip Of The Knee on the apron. In the ring, Bennett hit a DVD on Dorada, and Taven hit another Just The Tip Of The Knee for a nearfall! The four babyfaces got in the ring; they each hit a dive onto a heel on the floor at 19:00. &#8220;This match is insane!&#8221; Caprice said. The four babyfaces got back into the ring and brawled. Dante hit a top-rope crossbody block. Mistico hit a top-rope Spanish Fly on Darius for the pin! Really good action; those twenty minutes flew by.<\/p>\n<p><i>Mistico and Mascara Dorada defeated\u00a0Sammy Guevara and Beast Mortos, &#8220;The Computerized Kingdom&#8221; Matthew Taven and Michael Bennett, and &#8220;Top Flight&#8221; Dante Martin and Darius Martin in a four-way to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles at 20:14\/official time of\u00a019:17.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>*<b>\u00a0&#8220;RPG Vice&#8221; Rocky Romero and Trent Berretta<\/b>\u00a0hit the ring and attacked the champs.\u00a0<b>Scorpio Sky, Matt Sydal, AR Fox, Bustah and The Brain, the\u00a0Outrunners<\/b>, and possibly more guys ran to the ring to chase off the heels. Ian and Caprice marveled at all the good tag teams in ROH.<\/p>\n<p>* The cameras showed Ian Riccaboni and Caprice, and they informed viewers that\u00a0<b>Eddie Kingston<\/b>\u00a0was unable to compete on this show or on Saturday. (Drat, his match with Claudio Castagnoli is off!) THUS, we are now having a &#8220;Continental Cup play-in match&#8221; to replace Kingston. So, the winner will face Castagnoli on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><b>6. Adam Priest vs. Daniel Garcia in a Continental Cup play-in match.<\/b>\u00a0Standing\u00a0switches and a feeling-out process. Garcia pushed Priest&#8217;s jaw; Adam responded with a dropkick at 1:30. Priest hit a chop block and went to a half-crab, but Garcia scrambled to the ropes at 3:00. They fought to the floor, and Garcia jawed at some fans, then he wrenched Priest&#8217;s leg around the ring post. Back in the ring, Garcia hit a basement shotgun dropkick to the face! He applied an ankle lock and kept Adam grounded. They got up and traded chops.<\/p>\n<p>Priest hit a snap suplex at 7:00, and they were both down. They traded strikes on the ring apron. Priest stepped back into the ring and hit a Dragonscrew Legwhip!\u00a0Adam hit a top-rope superplex, and they were both down at 8:30. He hit a second Dragonscrew Legwhip, then a third one! Garcia applied a sleeper on the mat, and he switched to a cross-armbreaker, then to an ankle lock. Priest reached the ropes at 10:30.\u00a0They got up, and Garcia unloaded a series of loud chops! They traded forearm strikes.<\/p>\n<p>Priest hit a clothesline. He locked in a Figure Four at 12:30! They rolled onto the apron, then to the floor, with the Figure Four still locked on! They rolled to the ramp! Ref Bryce Remsburg nearly counted them out! Garcia knocked Priest down, but they both made it back into the ring. They traded kicks to the gut. Garcia stomped on Adam&#8217;s knee. Priest hit a piledriver for a nearfall! Adam went back to a half-crab at 15:30. Garcia hit some crossface elbow strikes. He applied his version of a Sharpshooter, leaned back for added pressure, and Priest tapped out!<\/p>\n<p><i>Daniel Garcia defeated Adam Priest at 16:52 to advance to the Continental Classic (to face faction partner Claudio Castagnoli).<\/i><\/p>\n<p>* Backstage,\u00a0<b>Shane Taylor Promotions<\/b>\u00a0cut a promo, with Taylor congratulating Lee Moriarty on his win. Shane vowed they will have gold again soon. Notably absent were Anthony Ogogo and Tehuti Miles.<\/p>\n<p><b>7. Lio Rush vs. Action Andretti in a Fight Without Honor for the ROH TV Title.<\/b>\u00a0Lio pulled a wagon filled with weapons. The crowd chanted, &#8220;It&#8217;s fine!&#8221; before they tied up. Andretti hit a punch. They both did Lio&#8217;s misdirection offense. They rolled to the floor, where AA hit some chops, and he whipped Rush into the guardrail. Andretti struck him with a broom handle across the back until it bent! They got back into the ring, where Andretti got a DDT for a nearfall at 4:00. He hit a White Russian leg sweep (using the broom handle across the throat) for a nearfall.<\/p>\n<p>Andretti got more brooms from under the ring and tossed them in. Ian recalled New Jack using a broom on opponents here. Lio opened an umbrella and leapt off the apron onto AA at 6:30, and the fans chanted, &#8220;Mary Poppins!&#8221; (<i>Shouldn&#8217;t they chant for Jack Gallagher<\/i>? That was his spot!) Lio got a corner metal hook and used it on Andretti&#8217;s throat! Lio pulled out a table and leaned it against the guardrail. Lio speared him through the table, drawing an &#8220;ECW!&#8221; chant. Lio got a nearfall in the ring at 8:00. Lio found a shovel and trash can lids. He jabbed the metal end of the shovel into Andretti&#8217;s throat! &#8220;Like Duncan Sheik, Andretti is barely breathing here,&#8221; Ian said, as all his music references are at least 20 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Lio threw one chair onto a chair over Andretti&#8217;s face. Andretti leapt off a chair and onto Lio. Andretti hit a DVD across an open chair for a nearfall at 10:30. Andretti put a chair over Lio&#8217;s head and shoved him to the floor. Ian said Lio &#8220;Pillmanized himself on the landing.&#8221; On the floor, Andretti threw a garbage can lid at Lio&#8217;s face. Lio was bleeding from the forehead. Lio slammed Andretti back-first onto the apron. Lio got a black table! He set it up on the floor at 13:30. Lio hit a stunner. He crawled on all fours, then dove through the ropes onto Andretti!<\/p>\n<p>Rush went to his wagon and pulled out a box and a chain. Lio found a red door and shoved that into the ring, too. Lio dumped a bag of black glass onto the mat at 16:00. He grabbed a piece and cut AA&#8217;s forehead with it, earning a &#8220;You sick f&#8212;!&#8221; chant. Lio grabbed the broom to sweep up the glass. They fought to the floor, where Lio hit Andretti in the chest with a barbed-wire-wrapped chair. AA grabbed the chair and threw it at Lio&#8217;s face! In the ring, Andretti hit a discus forearm strike. Lio struck him with a garbage can lid. Lio went for the Rush Hour stunner, but Andretti blocked it.<\/p>\n<p>Lio hit a stunner, then another one. He locked in his modified Muta Lock. The lights went out at 19:00! The crowd got quiet. When the lights came on,\u00a0<b>Hook<\/b>\u00a0was in the ring and was glaring at Lio. Andretti had vanished! Hook grabbed Lio and hit a release suplex. Caprice noted that this is no-DQ.\u00a0Lio whipped Hook into the red door in the corner. Lio hit a Blue Thunder Bomb on Andretti for a nearfall at 20:30. Lio finally got the black box, but now\u00a0<b>Anthony Bowens<\/b>\u00a0ran to the ring to grab it!\u00a0Hook put Lio in the Redrum sleeper.<\/p>\n<p>Bowens dumped the black glass on the table, and Hook put Lio across the table. Andretti immediately hit a springboard 450 Splash onto Lio on the table! Andretti rolled Lio into the ring and went for a cover, but Lio kicked out at one at 23:00! &#8220;The crowd is going crazy! No one is sitting down!&#8221; Ian shouted. AA and Lio traded forearm strikes. Andretti tossed Lio onto the red door shards in the corner. Lio crashed head-first into the corner. Andretti hit a twisting neckbreaker for the pin. The crowd was disappointed in the finish, but that was really entertaining. Andretti celebrated with Hook and Bowens.<\/p>\n<p><i>Action Andretti defeated Lio Rush in a Fight Without Honor to win the ROH TV Title at 23:55.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>* LIo opened the black box, and he pulled out a black heart. He picked it up and drank from it, with black fluid dripping all over Rush&#8217;s face.<\/p>\n<p><b>8. Bandido vs. Nick Wayne for the ROH Men&#8217;s World Title.\u00a0<\/b>Nick swatted away a handshake, and we got the bell.\u00a0Ian noted these two fought when Nick was just 16 (which is only four years ago!) Standing switches to open.\u00a0Bandido wore a sharp, deep blue mask and similar pants. They traded some quick reversals with neither landing a signature blow. Bandido dropkicked Nick to the floor at 3:00, then dove through the ropes onto him. He nailed a second dive through the ropes. They fought at ringside, with Wayne shoving him back-first into the barricade. Bandido dropped him throat-first onto the guardrail.<\/p>\n<p>Wayne set the ring steps on their side, and he whipped Bandido into the guardrails and was loudly booed.\u00a0They got back into the ring, where Nick got a nearfall at 6:30. He tugged at Bandido&#8217;s mask and was loudly booed. Bandido hit a top-rope twisting crossbody block. He performed a Gorilla Press at 9:00 and nailed a frog splash for a nearfall. Bandido held Wayne above his head and dropped Nick stomach-first, then hit a huracanrana for a nearfall, and they were both down at 11:00. Wayne hit a Swanton Bomb as Bandido was tied in the ropes.<\/p>\n<p>Nick hit a mid-ring Sliced Bread for a nearfall. Bandido got up and hit some loud chops. Nick offered up his chest for more! Bandido hit a superkick. They traded forearm strikes. Nick hit a flying stunner. Bandido hit a Poison Rana, but Wayne nailed a Crucifix Driver, and they were both down at 14:30. The crowd chanted, &#8220;Holy shit!&#8221; They got up and traded overhand chops. They went onto the apron and fought over the sideways ring steps! Bandido flipped Wayne so he landed head-first on the ring steps!\u00a0We got a loud &#8220;This is awesome!&#8221; chant.<\/p>\n<p>Nick sat up, and he had blood running down his face. In the ring, Bandido went for a top-rope Shooting Star Press, but Wayne got his knees up and got a rollup for a nearfall at 18:30. Wayne nailed a Code Red for a nearfall. Bandido went for the 21-Plex, but Wayne hit a Poison Rana and\u00a0 Prodigy Plex! Wayne hit a second fisherman&#8217;s suplex for a nearfall at 21:00, and the crowd chanted, &#8220;Fight forever!&#8221; Bandido hit his version of a Go To Sleep, then he nailed the 21-Plex for a believable nearfall! Wayne hit a low blow uppercut when the ref was out of position! He hit a Wayne&#8217;s World fadeaway stunner, then a third Prodigy Plex for a nearfall, but Bandido rolled him over for the flash pin. AWESOME match.<\/p>\n<p><i>Bandido defeated Nick Wayne to retain the ROH Men&#8217;s World Title at 22:40.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>* Caprice said that could be the match of the year. Ian noted that Bandido is now within about 40 days of catching Nigel McGuinness for the second-longest reign in ROH history, and also nearing Jay Lethal&#8217;s record for most days as champion.<\/p>\n<p>* Backstage, Marina Shafir, Jon Moxley, and Daniel Garcia spoke. Moxley said all he asks is 100 percent all the time. Garcia vowed he&#8217;s going to give it 100 percent when he faces Castagnoli on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><b>9. Athena vs. Hazuki for the ROH Women&#8217;s World Title.<\/b>\u00a0Hazuki got a rollup just seconds into the match. Ian noted that Hazuki\u00a0had\u00a0been in Philadelphia for a few days to avoid any issues with jet lag. Athena finally shook hands, but Hazuki hit a forearm strike that sent the forever champ to the floor to regroup. In the ring, Athena tied a leg lock around Hazuki&#8217;s neck. Hazuki hit some basement dropkicks to the face at 5:00.\u00a0<b>Billie Starkz<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Diamante<\/b>\u00a0appeared at ringside and distracted Hazuki. Athena threw some punches and shoved her foot into Hazuki&#8217;s throat. Starkz reached in and choked Hazuki!<\/p>\n<p>The crowd was all over the ref for not seeing the cheating. They fought to the floor. Hazuki hit a seated senton at 9:30, and she shoved Athena into an open chair at ringside. Billie and Diamante helped shove Athena back into the ring. Hazuki hit a tornado DDT for a nearfall at 11:30. Athena took control. They fought on the ropes in the corner, and Hazuki hit a second-rope Crucifix Driver for a nearfall at 14:30. They got to their knees and traded forearm strikes. Hazuki hit a huracanrana.<\/p>\n<p>Athena got up and hit some chops and forearm strikes and a pump kick to the chest at 16:30. Hazuki hit a top-rope missile dropkick. She set Athena up for a Shattered Dreams in the corner, but she hit a Lungblower to the chest for a nearfall at 18:00. Athena hit a swinging faceplant for a nearfall, and she tied Hazuki in a Koji Clutch around the neck. Hazuki locked in a crossface, but Athena reached the ropes at 20:30. Hazuki hit a running kick to the side of the head, knocking Athena to the floor.<\/p>\n<p>They fought at ringside and up the entrance ramp. Athena set up for a Tombstone Piledriver, but Hazuki escaped. Hazuki hit a fisherman&#8217;s suplex onto the steel ramp at 22:30. She whipped Athena into the guardrails and the ring post. In the ring, Hazuki hit a top-rope senton splash for a nearfall. The ref got bumped! Starkz and Diamante stomped on Hazuki on the ring apron. Hazuki hit a double Lungblower to their chests, then dove to the floor onto Billie and Diamante at 25:30. In the ring, Athena slammed her and got a nearfall. Athena hit a Tombstone Piledriver for a nearfall.<\/p>\n<p>They again fought to the floor. Athena yelled at Ian and Caprice to move, and she grabbed the commentary table. Athena struck Caprice! Hazuki hit a DDT from the apron to the floor. Hazuki hit a top-rope frog splash onto Athena, on the table on the floor at 28:30! In the ring, Hazuki hit a brainbuster for a believable nearfall. Athena dove through the ropes and hit the O-Face stunner! She went to the top rope and hit a second O-Face flying stunner for the pin! A very good match.<\/p>\n<p><i>Athena defeated Hazuki to retain the ROH Women&#8217;s Title at 30:15.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>* Athena and Hazuki got on their knees and bowed to each other. Caprice noted it was a rare show of respect from Athena.<\/p>\n<p><b>Final Thoughts:<\/b> The Bandido-Wayne match was every bit as good as Ian and Caprice suggested. Easily the match of the night on a very good evening of wrestling. For a brief moment, when Nick hit the low blow, I really thought we might be seeing a title change. The four-team tag match was an absolute blast and takes second, even though I can do without the silly AI gimmick that Taven and Bennett are doing. Athena-Hazuki had a tough act to follow, but they also delivered and took third place. Some really entertaining nearfalls late in that match, and they kept<\/p>\n<p>I hope that when Blake legitimately slipped off the top rope, he decided to oversell the injury. He&#8217;s on fire and putting in some great matches and was rewarded with a title here, so hopefully that was just a great sell job to compensate for a slip.<\/p>\n<p>No real complaints. As good as Priest-Garcia was, I wish a few more wildcards had been in there.\u00a0(With the tournament stipulation on the line, Priest was not winning that one.) This match would have been a great spot to throw in Bryan Keith, or one of the Infantry guys, or Evil Uno. (It would have added more mystery to the match outcome anyway). Hopefully we see Eddie Kingston back sooner rather than later. I&#8217;ve seen some complaints already about Lio losing the belt &#8212; but he&#8217;s so over, he really doesn&#8217;t need it.<\/p>\n<p>Always great to see Deonna back in action, and that match went the right length &#8212; not every match needs to be a 15- to 20-minute epic. The Zero Hour matches entertained, and it was great to see Oliver and Price get some more TV time.
