Montreal, Redemption, it will be violent.” The camera cut to Wight a few times during Ciampa’s speed. Wight said that Ciampa made him a little uncomfortable. Fortunately, Ciampa came back and won decisively in a reasonable amount of time. Ciampa continued to have moments with Wight. I didn’t think much of it the first time, but now I’m wondering if Wight will play some role in Ciampa’s match with Chris Jericho.

Mike Bailey delivered a promo on the interview set and spoke of competing in the ladder match in his hometown of Montreal. He said if he climbs the ladder and wins, he would either beat Bandido or beat Kyle Fletcher and get his revenge on the Don Callis Family…

“The Young Bucks” Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson made their entrance. The Bucks had the bulk of the early offense, but Garcia and Yuta took control heading into a picture-in-picture break. The outcome was no surprise, but I liked the interference from Castagnoli and Pac being countered by Copeland and Cage as a little teaser of their Redemption match for the tag team titles. Ospreay played his part really well in that he had a blank expression on his face and came off like he was in a trance.

Footage aired of the AEW panel at the San Diego Comic Con of Brody King stepping up to the microphone in the crowd. Bandido’s ROH Championship isn’t the only ROH title that AEW champions don’t care about. Likewise, apparently the Conglomeration trio don’t care about the ROH Six-Man Tag Titles (I don’t really blame them, but I also couldn’t care less about the AEW Trios Titles). I can blame them. All kidding aside, what’s the point of making the ROH champions look inferior? Granted, I don’t really understand ROH’s purpose, but if Tony Khan is going to keep it alive, then he should protect its titleholders.

Jack Perry stood on the interview set dressed in non-wrestling attire. He said his mission is to win the AEW World Championship, but you have to take advantage of opportunities that fall out of the sky. Nick Wayne showed up and said opportunities always fall out of the sky and land in Perry’s lap, whereas he has had to chase opportunities.
