This marks a new company record and the first time in history that\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i> has generated more than\u00a0$200 million\u00a0in economic impact.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 12 years,\u00a0<i>WrestleMania <\/i><i><\/i>has generated more than\u00a0$1 billion\u00a0in cumulative economic impact for the cities that have hosted the event.\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0also generated approximately\u00a0$24.8 million\u00a0in federal, state and local taxes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the\u00a0Jones\u00a0family and the entire Dallas Cowboys organization, we congratulate WWE on their milestone success of\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0at AT&amp;T Stadium,\u201d said Dallas Cowboys Chief Brand Officer Charlotte Jones. \u201cWe were honored to partner with WWE and their Superstars to give back to the community in a multitude of ways during\u00a0<i>WrestleMania\u00a0<\/i>Week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the city of\u00a0Arlington, we congratulate WWE and their fans for surpassing\u00a0$200 million\u00a0in economic impact for the first time in\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0history,\u201d said\u00a0Arlington\u00a0Mayor Jim Ross. \u201cWe are glad to have shared this success and look forward to the opportunity for AT&amp;T Stadium to host a future\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled that\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>\u2019s return to full capacity generated stupendous record results for our partners in\u00a0Dallas\u00a0and\u00a0Arlington, showcasing the continued growth for WWE\u2019s largest annual celebration,\u201d said WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events John P. We now turn our focus to next year\u2019s\u00a0<i>WrestleMania\u00a0<\/i>in Hollywood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A capacity crowd of 156,352 fans from all 50 states and 53 countries attended WWE\u2019s pop-culture extravaganza over the course of two nights this past April, making it the highest-grossing and most-attended event in WWE history. Key highlights from the study include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>$206.5 million\u00a0in direct, indirect and induced impact derived from spending by visitors to the\u00a0Dallas\/Arlington\u00a0region for\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>.<\/li>\n<li>67% of fans that attended\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0were from outside the\u00a0Dallas\/Arlington\u00a0region and stayed an average of 3.5 nights.<\/li>\n<li>$25.4 million\u00a0was spent on hotels and accommodations within the\u00a0Dallas\/Arlington\u00a0region.<\/li>\n<li>The economic impact derived from\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0Week was equal to the creation of 1,777 full-time jobs for the area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Next year,\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0will take place Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 live from SoFi Stadium in\u00a0Los Angeles. The event will stream live exclusively on Peacock in\u00a0the United States\u00a0and WWE Network everywhere else. Now maybe if JR ran for office in Oklahoma&#8230; Anyway, the most interesting part of the press release to me is that 67 percent of the fans who attended WrestleMania living outside the region, including fans from all 50 states and 53 countries.
