Cedric Alexander beat Tommaso Ciampa in a CWC showcase match.<\/b> Excellent opener, in which both guys came across like stars and Cedric won following the Lumbar Check.<\/p>\n<p><b>2. Ethan Page over Travis Gordon.<\/b> Page won in about two minutes with a package piledriver.<\/p>\n<p><b>3. Matthew Riddle forced Marty Scurll to submit to a Twister.<\/b> This was another match where both guys came across like stars. Riddle has shown such incredible growth in such a short time, and Marty Scurll has really put the pieces together and is a complete package.<\/p>\n<p><b>4. Catch Point (Drew Gulak, Tracy Williams, and Fred Yehei w\/TJP) beat Jonathan Gresham, Chris Dickinson, and Darby Allin.<\/b> Had one of the undercard guys won the match for their team, they&#8217;d have earned a spot in Catch Point. There was a terrifying dive to the outside where Hot Sauce&#8217;s legs got caught on the barricade and the back of his head came down hard on the hardwood floor, leaving him with a pretty gnarly gash. Very promptly, Gulak tapped Gresham with the dragon sleeper and went right out to check on Williams who was being tended to. Williams left under his own power with a towel on the back of his head. Gulak cut a promo which brought out Thatcher and led quickly to the start of the next match.<\/p>\n<p><b>5. Evolve Champion Timothy Thatcher beat TJP when he reversed a submission into a rollup.<\/b> Solid match.<\/p>\n<p><b>6. Zack Sabre Jr. beat Anthony Nese in a CWC showcase match.<\/b> Sabre scored the pin with a leg clutch roll. Both guys worked hard and they put on a good one.<\/p>\n<p><b>7. Drew Galloway beat Johnny Gargano.<\/b> This was billed as the final encounter so both guys went hard from the get-go. They kicked out of a bunch of finishers before Galloway finally hit a leaping tombstone (after two regular ones, and also which was used as a false finish in the opening match) to put Gargano away. Post-match, Ethan Page hit the ring to save Gargano from a continuing beating and tried to get him to cut his usual show-closing promo, but a dejected Gargano said he didn&#8217;t know how much longer he could do it. The show closed with Ethan Page doing the &#8220;did you enjoy the show&#8221; bit and announcing that Evolve would be back in the same building on December 11.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zim&#8217;s Notes:<\/strong> This was a very solid outing from the Evolve crew, amplified by a hot crowd in a VERY acoustically friendly room. The venue was great in terms of ease-of-access, view, comfort, and concession area, but was most notable for holding sound better than perhaps any building I&#8217;ve seen indie wrestling in. Aside from that, nothing on the show overstayed its welcome and nothing disappointed. Enjoyable, easy to watch show.
