WWE News: Linda McMahon's Democratic adversary drops out of the U.S. Senate race
Jan 6, 2010 - 09:38 AM |
U.S. Senator Christopher Dodd will announce today that he will not seek reelection, according to the Hartford Courant. The Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is slated to announce today that he intends to seek the Democratic nomination.
"The Republicans thought they might steal this seat," Roy Occhiogrosso, Democratic consultant, said. "Not anymore." To read the full story, visit Courant.com.
Powell's POV: Time to put your money where your mouth is, Occhiogrosso. If your guy gets shut down, then you must change your name back to Chad Johnson. All joking aside, this is a major blow to Linda McMahon's run for senate, as Blumenthal is a popular figure in a state that normally votes Democrat.
