The following story contains a possible spoiler regarding the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.

All signs point to Jeff Hardy finishing his run with the company at Sunday's WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. As reported on Dot Net months ago, Hardy has a reality television project in the works, and he's simply ready for a break from the WWE schedule. WWE started his exit storyline at the Smackdown tapings this week by having Hardy announce that a doctor told him to retire. He stated during a promo that he was going against doctor's orders by wrestling on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Lilian Garcia is expected to work SummerSlam and Monday's Raw before departing the company. She previously announced that she was leaving the company once her contract expired.

Powell's POV: It's always possible that WWE is working in the doctor storyline as a swerve, but everyone I've spoken with believes Hardy is finishing his run with the company this weekend. He has given the impression that he will return at some point, but no one knows whether he's given them a potential timeline for his return. To the best of my knowledge, Hardy will be contractually free from WWE, but there is no buzz about him signing with TNA.

It will be interesting to see how replaces Lilian as the Raw ring announcer. WWE developmental Diva Angela Fong filled in for Lilian during a recent house show tour, but the company has also run ads searching for a female personality with the strict requirement that they have a singing background.
