WWE Chairman Vince McMahon boasts of "unprecedented reach for this historic event" via partnership with Yahoo for Rolling Stones pay-per-view
Dec 6, 2012 - 11:12 AM |
WWE issued a press release to announce that the December 15 Rolling Stones pay-per-view will also be available via global online live stream via Yahoo Music. "We are pleased to partner with Yahoo!, a global leader in digital media, to bring the Rolling Stones pay-per-view online to millions across the world," Vince McMahon stated in a press release. "Our partnership will create unprecedented reach for this historic event." Read the full press release at 4-Traders.com.
Powell's POV: I like the overall business move of WWE using their pay-per-view clout for products outside of pro wrestling, er, sports entertainment. It looks like this has the potential to be a lucrative move for WWE and it should lead to similar productions going forward.
