WWE News: Vince McMahon and ION tout the success of WWE Main Event

The ION television network issued a press release to announce that Wednesday's WWE Main Event premiere drew 422,000 viewers in the 18-49 male demographic, and 444,000 viewers in the 25-54 male demographic. The press release notes that 518,000 female viewers watched the show, and the show performed better than MLB games on ESPN and ESPN 2 in all key male and adult demographics.
"Our partnership with ION Television is off to a strong start," Vince McMahon stated in the press release. "We expect our fans will make WWE Main Event the number one show on the network as they have done for WWE programs with all of our other TV partners."
