TNA News: Bound For Glory Series point system
Jun 16, 2011 - 10:03 PM |
TNA released the following point system for the Bound For Glory Series.
-Submission Victories are worth ten points.
-Pinfall victories are worth seven points.
-Countout victories are worth five points.
-DQ victories are worth three points.
-A draw is worth two points.
-A DQ loss results in a ten-point deduction.
Powell's POV: The video package noted that the top four finishers will compete to determine who will challenge the TNA Champion at Bound For Glory. The presentation left a lot to be desired. The introductory video should have been more straight forward, as they had James Earl Jones guy doing radio DJ delivery. I'm not sure why a submission win is worth more than a pinfall, but I like that a DQ losses result in a deduction. I guess the NHL is no longer alone in awarding points for ties.
