-The WWE Smackdown television taping takes place tonight in Omaha, Nebraska at Century Link Center Omaha. The advertised television main event is currently Dean Ambrose vs. Kofi Kingston for the U.S. Championship. Here's hoping it sticks in that role as the main event of the show, as I believe the match would be good enough to occupy that real estate and it would send the right message about the title.

-We are looking for correspondents for tonight's WWE Smackdown taping in Omaha, Nebraska and Thursday's TNA television event in Tampa, Florida. If you are going to the show and want to help, email me me at Likewise, if you live in Florida and won the Powerball, you are also strongly encouraged to make a seven-figure donation to my personal bank account.

-Chris Benoit was born on this date in 1967. He took his own life on June 24, 2007 after killing his wife Nancy and son Daniel two days earlier. Benoit's family donated his brain for medical testing. Julian Bailes, the head of neurosurgery at West Virginia University, said test results showed that Benoit's brain was so severely damaged that it resembled the brain of an 85 year-old Alzheimer's patient.

-Nancy Benoit (a/k/a Nancy Elizabeth Toffoloni) was also born on this date in 1964. She worked as Woman and Fallen Angel during her pro wrestling career. She also married and divorced pro wrestler Kevin Sullivan prior to meeting Benoit, and was previously married to Jim Daus.

-On a much lighter note, Famer Mr. T (a/k/a Laurence Tureaud) is 61 today. He was born on May 21, 1952. T worked matches at WrestleMania and WrestleMania 2. He is not a member of the WWE Hall of Fame. T stated during an appearance that was chronicled by that he rejected the an induction offer because he was insulted that Pete Rose was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before he was: "After they put Rose in they came and asked me and I said, 'You don't insult me! You don't put Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame before me. I ain't going to be a part of that!'"

-There are no pro wrestling matches listed for ESPN Classic.
